I would like to know why the British Journalism Awards has shortlisted this man for an award when fresh investigations by publishers Taylor & Francis have found no evidence of plagiarism, and the unethical and unwarranted hounding of Jason Arday led to his death?
Very happy to have been shortlisted in the Specialist Journalism category in this year's British Journalism Awards for my investigation into Cambridge University professor Jason Arday and the extensive plagiarism in his PhD thesis #BJA2026

These Zionists were 3 of the single most famous real estate agents in New York and Miami. For 20 years they drugged and raped at least 70 women. Guess who they represented? @JaredKushner & @IvankaTrump.
Israeli-American brothers sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for serial sex trafficking —— Alon, Oren, and Tal Alexander—three brothers from a prominent Israeli-American family who once dominated high-society real estate and security circles in New York and Miami—were each sentenced to 30 years in federal prison on Tuesday for sex trafficking, conspiracy, and multiple counts of sexual abuse. Presiding US District Judge Valerie Caproni delivered the sentences in a Manhattan courtroom following an emotional, hours-long hearing where more than a dozen survivors delivered harrowing impact statements detailing years of systemic abuse. During the five-week trial, federal prosecutors laid out evidence demonstrating how the brothers exploited their immense wealth, high social status, and Israeli-American background ties to lure women to luxury properties—including estates in the Hamptons and international locations such as Tel Aviv—before drugging and violently assaulting them while incapacitated. While Tal and Oren operated elite luxury real estate brokerages, their twin brother Alon worked as an executive at their family’s security firm, utilizing their network to shield their predatory conduct. Judge Caproni firmly rejected the defendants' late assertions of innocence and unconvincing appeals for mercy, describing their actions as "monstrous" and likening them to "sadistic, misogynistic sexual predators." The landmark sentencing marks a dramatic downfall for the brothers, who maintained their defiant stance even as victims confronted them directly in court. Federal prosecutors had pushed for life sentences, citing the profound psychological trauma inflicted upon more than 70 victims who came forward to investigators.

this is just unconscionable. the fact they hounded a man to his death is terrible enough, but to celebrate being rewarded for it without even the smallest sense of shame? racism runs so deeply through our institutions & there’s no excuse for it

It’s time to get rid of this, isn’t it? 👑 An unelected, undemocratic institution where the top job is decided purely by an accident of birth. No votes, no merit just sperm. It costs us over £1bn a year while public services crumble. Time to abolish the monarchy.

Andy Burnham is asked about Rosebank and Jackdaw oil and gas fields. He says "Use of our resources can support and accelerate a clean energy future" We are truly down the rabbit hole with this utter nonsense. Invest in renewables, insulate homes & say no to fossil fuels.

The Chancellor says this is a budget for working people. He says it's about growth and fiscal discipline. But aren't these the same fiscal rules that constantly change - and have constrained the investment this country so badly needs?

If Chancellor includes tax revenues from not yet approved #Rosebank oil field to fund his budget it’s environmentally ruinous & morally obscene. As the planet burns, claiming emissions won’t “count” because the oil is burned overseas is reckless & cynical theguardian.com/environment/…

This is heartbreaking. Women's alcohol deaths are increasing - my daughter died alone after fighting for decades. What do we do to create suffering? Is it insecurity, anxiety, industry profits, lifestyle, advertising, lack of support? All avoidable. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cre3…

▪️ISRAEL ELECTION UPDATE: With 51.8% of votes counted, Netanyahu’s bloc is projected to win 55 seats, short of the 61 needed for a majority in the 120-seat Knesset. Opposition parties are projected to win 65 seats, including 16 for Palestinian parties, according to Haaretz. The figures could shift significantly as counting continues. Exit polls from three main television networks projected around 50 seats for Netanyahu’s bloc and 18-19 for the Palestinian parties.

They should impeach Trump just for this. Disgusting.
Alex Pretti's father: Our son was shot and killed by the government, federal immigration agents, on January 24th, 2026. We learned about his death from the media as we saw him being shot repeatedly in the back after helping a woman from his community. This was not a protest that Alex was at. His hands were in the air, and his face was on the ground when he was executed by ICE agents. We know exactly what our eyes saw. No one from the federal government called us on that day. But they did go on TV to tell lies about Alex. No one has called us since. No one has recanted those lies.

"It's time for this government to show some energy and some bravery and put the water companies into special administration - and then, of course, into public ownership". 💯@GreenJennyJones. It's time to end the rip-off and take private water companies in England back into public hands.

What moron wrote this line for Chukkie to deliver? To demean slavery, the abhorrent treatment and suffering of human beings and describe what they went through as ‘great suffering’. What does that mean? The great suffering that you are benefitting from? Unbelievable

🔔Former BBC Panorama producer Phil Craig says the BBC’s Gaza coverage has shattered his faith in the broadcaster. His criticism raises serious questions about editorial judgement, accuracy & impartiality in reporting Israel’s war on Gaza. For Palestinians, this is not merely a media debate. How their suffering is reported shapes public understanding & accountability. The BBC’s reputation cannot replace scrutiny. Trust must be earned through journalism that holds power to account. jewishnews.co.uk/former-bbc-…

There have been 26 Israeli general elections since the Naqba. Not once have they produced a government which is willing to treat Palestinians as people, let alone as equals. Instead it has been misery piled on injustice. There is zero reason to believe today's elections will be any different.
#Israel has committed war crimes & crimes against humanity in the Occupied #Palestinian Territory amid continuing #genocide in Gaza, the @UN Commission of Inquiry on Occupied Palestinian Territory & Israel said in a new report to #UNGA81 today. More ➡️ bit.ly/4zR1h0S
