Every online identity is already onchain.
By "onchain," I mean an identity can receive blockchain assets under self-custody.
How? Platforms like X, Reddit, LinkedIn, Steam, and even TikTok already let users prove control of their accounts to external websites through OAuth and similar authentication protocols.
But there's a major obstacle to bringing this directly to blockchains: authentication is inherently interactive, while chains need evidence they can verify independently, without trusting some website's word or an extractive intermediary.
So at @grndd_systems, we built a primitive in the libID stack to turn the result of interactive authentication into a portable, non-interactive proof of identity control. Think Fiat–Shamir, in spirit.

Got asked about concrete use cases of the primitive I shared earlier, so figured I’d answer here too.
In our case, this is an extensionless wallet and private OAuth identity proving. Beyond that, think X’s embedded Player Cards.
Recently finished a primitive that wouldn't be practical to implement without the help of LLMs. It achieves cross-site communication inside the same browser built for local-first apps and doesn't require users to install anything.
I went on thinking this is trivial, and that browsers should already have a clean answer for this. They don’t...

Overnight, Russia launched an attack on Ukrainian energy facilities, damaging power generation, transmission and distribution systems in various regions, including Ukraine's largest hydroelectric power plant, the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant in Zaporizhzhia.
Many towns and cities were partially or completely cut off from electricity.
Seems that Russians not had enough of the terrible disaster at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant last year.
Ukraine needs weapons and air defense against Russian terrorism and genocide.

Хто представляє найбільшу небезпеку нацдержавності під час війни? На думку СБУ, вочевидь, журналісти😠 Так, всю цю ганебну “спецоперацію” за участі понад 30-ти людей організував департамент СБУ, чиє завдання - захист державного суверенітету, територіальної цілісності та конституційного ладу.
За день до вилазки Bihus.Info в заміський комплекс, свій “корпоратив” там провела цікава компанія персонажів. Вони бронювали будиночки на одноразові сім-карти, приїжджали на номерах прикриття і привозили за собою величезні валізи.
Ми отримали відеозаписи з камер готелю до того, як туди приїхали ці “гості”. І розпізнали учасників трагікомедії.
Можливо, в цій історії комусь вдалося б заховатись, от тільки важко сховати аж таку кількість спецслужбістів. Тож частину з них ми незабаром зустріли біля СБУ. І розпитали, для чого вони стежили за нашою командою.
🤡 А ще 31 січня з СБУ звільнили голову Департаменту захисту національної державності Романа Семенченка. Якраз напередодні виходу цього розслідування. Ми поспілкувались з паном Семенченком, і у телефонній розмові він не заперечив причетність ДЗНД до цієї операції.
