BREAKING NEWS: ANOTHER FAMILY IS NOW LIVING A NIGHTMARE. WHERE IS AYUB MOHAMMED MAALIM?
This is Ayub Mohammed Maalim.
He was with Wakili Abshir Ahmed on the morning Abshir disappeared.
CCTV footage shows him running during the incident.
Since that morning, his family has heard nothing from him. No phone call.
No explanation.
No confirmation of his whereabouts.
Just fear, anguish and unanswered questions.
Imagine being his mother, father, wife or child.
Imagine waking up every morning wondering whether your loved one is alive, injured, detained or dead.
Imagine watching CCTV footage of someone you love running, then watching him disappear from the face of the earth.
WHO IS PROTECTING THESE FAMILIES? WHO WILL GIVE ANSWERS?
Inspector General of Police, DCI Director and NIS Director General, you cannot continue watching this country descend into a nightmare of unexplained disappearances while ATPU operates as though it is above the Constitution.
You are the people entrusted with oversight, security and accountability.
What exactly are you doing while families search for their missing loved ones?
If ATPU has Ayub, produce him.
If they have Abshir, produce him.
If they have neither, explain what investigations have been undertaken to establish their whereabouts.
An intelligence agency is not a government within a government.
An anti-terrorism unit is not a law unto itself.
No security officer has a licence to disappear a Kenyan.
And let nobody tell us that these are security matters that cannot be discussed.
The Constitution does not disappear when a Kenyan is taken away.
IG, DCI BOSS AND NIS BOSS: YOUR SILENCE AND FAILURE TO ACCOUNT FOR THESE DISAPPEARANCES DEMAND SERIOUS QUESTIONS.
We are not asking for favours. We are demanding human beings back.

The statement tabled by the Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance & Planning Committee following last week's meeting with the Central Bank Governor states that,
"A balanced implementation of the capital requirements is therefore necessary taking into account financial stability, competition, financial inclusion and the sustainability of locally owned banks"
Musings:
· Has the Committee forgotten that the current phased out annual hurdles for increase in minimum core capital was actually its proposal from Dec 3rd, 2024 (see quoted tweet)?
· It is this same National Assembly's that passed the Business Laws (Amendment) Act of 2024 which amended the Banking Act which proposed the Kes 3 billion by Dec 2025; Kes 5 billion by Dec 2026; Kes 6 billion by 2027; Kes 8 billion by 2028 & Kes 10 billion by 2029
· Did the legislators propose & pass something they did not understand or what has changed between then & now for this fresh push back?
· Banks have been handed a breather on the bump up in core capital requirements
· Committee recommends extension of compliance period horizon from 3 years to 8 years
· So the initial plan of Kes 3.0 billion by Dec 31st, 2025; Kes 6.0 billion by Dec 31st, 2026 & Kes 10.0 billion by Dec 31st, 2027 will now be spread out over 8 years

The Constitution is not President Ruto’s suggestion box or a buffet where he picks what he likes and leaves what he doesn’t.
The very Constitution he is sworn to uphold is what provides the framework for his election and his authority to govern. So why should its other provisions suddenly become optional?
That same Constitution also guarantees citizens’ rights, demands respect for the rule of law, requires gender representation, and sets limits on presidential power.
If the Constitution is valid enough to make you president, it is valid enough to tell you what you cannot do as President. You cant claim its authority while treating its obligations as optional!
Any person holding themselves out as a Cabinet Secretary is engaged in a coup against the Constitution.
Starting today, any engagements or agreements executed by the current CS are illegal and void. Any public expenditure incurred by them is illegal and liable to a claim for recovery. Members of the public should be wary of dealings with the government and its cabinet entities, as they cannot claim ignorance as to it’s illegality.
The Cabinet is unconstitutional and in light of our laws cannot exercise any functional authority on behalf of the Kenyan.

Sec 39(1G) was already declared invalid in 2018 because it subordinated live-streamed results to manually transmitted ones - Katiba case Para 98
How could it retain an invalid provision? What was needed was amendment that gives primacy to live-streaming.

Did State Corporations buy shares in Kenya Pipeline IPO to hold them for Aliko Dangote? If this is proven directly or through circumstantial evidence, it will violate every applicable provision of the Constitution, Statutes & established law. State institutions cannot be proxies for individuals. As over Kshs. 42B of public money was involved, Kenyans deserve the whole truth. In the US, the judicial system has developed the law called “facading”, where companies & its Directors are held criminally liable for financial engineering & manipulating the capital markets.

The widow of the late human rights lawyer Juma Kiplenge, Jedida, leads family members in presenting his personal library to the Law Society of Kenya, Nakuru Chapter, at the Nakuru Law Courts, four years after his death. The collection, which includes legal texts, statutes, biographies, literature, and other books that remained at his residence since October 2022, will now be kept at the Advocates’ Lounge in the new Nakuru Law Courts Building for use by advocates and members of the Judiciary. The family donated the books to honour Kiplenge’s legacy.

UPDATE: The "King of Fakes" sat his KCSE at Kimilili Boys Sec School in 2000. He scored a C Plain. He was not eligible for direct entry into undergraduate study
🌻Then he doctored the slip. And the certificate. Suddenly: B Minus. 62 points. Mean grade 7.75.
🌻The math? 62 ÷ 8 = 7.75. Clean. KNEC's B- band is 7.5–8.49. 7.75 sits right in it.

During H.E Uhuru's time sensitive and lucrative government legal briefs used to go to the best Kikuyu lawyer in town assisted by few other Kenyans..sometimes including myself. Government used to pay top fees and no one used to ask for a bribe or kickbacks. Work was done, fees is paid and all went well. Nowadays, tribe or competence are irrelevant. CSs or Parastatal heads give work to lawyers who are willing to give back 70 to 80% of legal fees as bribe. Lawyers retain only 20% of their fees. Nobody gives a hoot about the case. The higher it goes on appeal, the more fees is paid and the standard 70 to 80% is given back to the CS and Parastatals heads. That is why case after case involving government is tossed out daily. It isnt because judges are necessarily anti government. It is because government has lost character and every government officials is stealing in every possible manner as if the world will end tomorrow.
