NO WEDDINGS = NO VOTES
When we all next go to the ballot box, we won’t be voting because of manifesto promises and slick advertising, we’ll be voting with the knowledge of whether our Prime Minister, @BorisJohnson, stepped up when we most needed him to. 🗳

We want to say thank you to the MPs using their voice and position to #standupforweddings.
Recently, many supportive MP’s have made representations to BEIS, Treasury and the Cabinet Office to seek clarification & to raise issues of around a lack of parity or targeted support.

Raging at @AlokSharma_RDG essentially telling those in the wedding sector to 'get better jobs' or turn to welfare in response to @Ed_Miliband just now. 500,000 workers - your government has just told you that your job isn't good enough for them to bother about. #whataboutweddings

Recognise weddings as hospitality. WE ARE HOSPITALITY @BorisJohnson @RishiSunak @AlokSharma_RDG #WhatAboutWeddings
Wedding businesses must be recognised as hospitality. Because we are. @RishiSunak @scullyp @AlokSharma_RDG @UKHospKate
The UK’s first socially distanced gig is happening now in Newcastle with @samfendermusic headlining, and where attendees have their own private viewing area with 2m of space between them. Here’s what it looks like #samfender #unityarena
We are here! Here to help our utterly amazing couples in whatever way we can, here to support our fellow suppliers and here as part of a 10.3 billion pound industry that is waiting to be recognised by our government

“So let us hope that this is not the final chapter for our fantastic wedding industry.”
@edwardtimpson MP, thank you. Your speech today in Parliament in support of the wedding industry was utterly wonderful. Read it here bit.ly/2BlcO0A

Thank you @hammersmithandy for your efforts. I am so grateful. But we need more. I’m a September bride to be and my weddings is on the cusp of being postponed for a whole year. We need a roadmap. @coyleneil as my local MP, please can you help too? #whataboutweddings
The Government is dragging its feet over the reopening of the #Events industry.
There's no reason as to why events and #wedding receptions with social distancing measures in place cannot open before October.

As far as weddings go, consider the age profile of guests, ventilation - a marquee is much less risky - and how will food and drink be served. Perhaps guests can wear wristbands to indicate how much they want to socially distance.
