InfoFi shutdown didn’t kill creator monetization. It exposed how broken it already was. We’ve seen 10k accounts outperform 100k+ over and over because real engagement > followers. If your audience shows up, this is for you.
The InfoFi shutdown doesn't have to be the end of your creator journey. The brand deal landscape is really broken. We've spent years watching 10k follower accounts outperform 100k accounts because their audiences actually care. Disence matches KOLs with clients who actually care about engagement rates over follower counts. If your audience trusts you and shows up when you post, we want to talk. What we look for: • Real engagement • Niche expertise or a specific audience demographic • Consistency in content quality Interested? Agency owners need to understand that creating your own market is about solving bigger problems for people than others do. Being unique is not about performing a task at a high standard, it's about having a unique ability to get things done.

Let’s talk about the current meta for Web3 service companies at Token/Consensus. Since 2024 there are fewer new, early stage projects every year, and you rarely meet a team building primarily for retail anymore. Most companies are either institutional or built around working with institutions, and the ones that have set up their foundations properly over the last few years are now very hard to compete with. This calls for a different approach for service businesses. Chasing new names brings less and less, so we spent most of our time with existing partners and current/old clients, going through what they're planning next year. This is extremely effective, if done right. If you are looking for new projects, they're not just at the “side events” anymore, but at the ultra-exclusive events with 30 to 40 participants, not a massive summit. For the next token, start prepping early. Singapore as a place is amazing, as always ❤️

Another year, another TOKEN2049. Singapore never disappoints 🇸🇬🚀 Half the city is closed off for the F1 weekend, which is a bit annoying, but as an F1 fan I'm not complaining. Looking forward to meeting some of our friends, partners, and clients in person! Who's there? 👀

when marketing budget unlocks after TGE

A lot of the teams that approach us have already been burned by 1 or 2 agencies. Usually it's because they were sold on impressions and views, not actual conversions. That's why when they come to us, the first thing we set up is a direct way to track the results of every activity we launch. Start with a test campaign with vetted KOLs, see which ones convert and scale only the best performing platforms, regions, and CTA's. For this reason, we have one of the highest customer retention rates in the industry.
We get a lot of first calls from teams whose last campaign didn't work. It's almost always one of three things. 1. No tracking in place - so nobody can say which KOL or which post actually drove a user 2. The same brief and the same creator profile used for both awareness and user acquisition campaigns - those need completely different approaches 3. The plan just stops at TGE - no one thinks about retention Keep these three things in mind to get better results.

I understand KYC is necessary, but this is the EXACT use case for ZK. Wouldn't be surprised if platforms like Revolut start incorporating it in the next few years. Users only need to verify once with no personal info exposed (just yes or no) and there's simply nothing to leak. ZK isn’t new tech anymore, @Concordium has been integrating it into ecom stores, x402, adult sites, fintechs for compliance, for 5+ years.
‼️ BREAKING: Revolut handed over customers’ passport copies, verification selfies and full transaction histories to a malicious actor. The actor sent lawful government information-demand emails using a genuine government domain that passed domain authentication. Revolut later concluded they were not authentic. Affected customers were notified on Friday. What may have been disclosed ranges from name, date of birth and home address to account statements, withdrawal records and complete Bitcoin transaction history. The company says it has alerted the agency to the unauthorised mailbox on its domain, blocked the address and begun notifying regulators. It has not named the agency, explained how someone obtained a mailbox there, or given a number of affected customers. ZachXBT, who circulated the notices, believes the incident was limited in size and aimed at high-net-worth users.

Some of the most successful Web3 founders I've spoken with attribute their success to one aspect. They build a community of supporters before they have anything to sell. Not thousands of token holders, a small group of people who give honest feedback, refer you when it's relevant and talk about what you're building. Most of them don't need to be in Web3 at all, part of that group can be your friends. On top of that, say yes to every free podcast, panel, Space or community call you can get on, and keep doing it until people start hearing about you from someone other than you. It's been good to see most companies this year focused on actually being revenue generating and profitable, and there's still a huge amount of opportunity ahead. Have a good weekend everyone!

Most agency owners don't own a business, they own a high paying job. The number 1 mistake I see is agencies measuring success by the money hitting their bank account each month, which is income, not the value of the business. An agency only accrues value when it can run and grow without you, and that has to be the objective from day 1, not something you fix once you hit a certain revenue number. If you're the one closing every new client, checking every delivery and deciding on every hire, then you're the bottleneck for the growth of your own company. The business can't be worth much more than the hours you personally put in. I know how hard it is to separate yourself from it, especially when most clients trust you and not the agency. But if the business only grows when you push it, you're not building anything long term, you're just getting paid well for your own labour. A profitable agency that depends on you is a job, one that grows without you is an asset, and that's how you build real value for the business. In the end, you decide which one you're building. PS: don’t judge my new empty office just yet!

What do we honestly think of this market? My personal take is that there are a few key narratives that are driving current adoption, but overall, it's on the brink. Wouldn't say that any bull run shenanigans are present Thoughts?

Had a very insightful session with @samkamani, a friend and one of the most respected hosts in the crypto podcast sphere. Talked about the ins and outs of effective marketing campaign scaling and how KOL marketing needs to work in 2026.
1/6: I just spoke with @evggx from @DisenceOfficial, a firm that has run 500+ KOL campaigns in crypto. Here is what founders get wrong about influencer marketing. 🧵

Attribution is not just a dashboard problem. It’s a GTM design problem. AI companies need to measure the moments that create trust, not just the easiest clicks. Where to keep your focus - the best insights from @evggx and @DisenceOfficial
