This was awesome to see. Small part of @hmalexander15 ‘s pregame prior to game 1 of the season. Find what works for you to prepare to go out and do your job. Strike machine.
Working angles, hand-eye coordination and pocketing the ball by cross firing the machines/shooting at the same time. Track the ball as long as possible and don’t let the other ball distract you. Different training gloves/glove sizes being used for pocket awareness. @Felician_SB
Only the best for our catchers! Thank you to our friends over at @ALLSTARSPORTS for helping us keep our catchers safe and looking fresh!!

Just short stops with gear on. Different plays, similar concepts with the movements. Athletes let the ball dictate what they'll do. It's not always conventional but they make it work. Get results. @Eddie__McCarthy

@JWonCATCHING posted a small clip of our setup here with the two angle video delay. Has been a great tool for immediate feedback on things athletes may or may not feel. Both views automatically sync up. Total game changer.

Great drill to add into transfer progression. Saw it in a clip a while back from spring training (I believe posted by @goodrocatching ). Emphasizing pocket awareness/being precise w/ transfer into the hand. Can be done with 2 baseballs with players with smaller hands.

Broadcasters the other night were comparing Bo Naylor’s blocks with Austin Wells.
Catchers don’t call or anticipate fastballs in the dirt regardless of stance. Nonetheless when calling it up in the zone.
These 2 blocks are incomparable. Catching is hard.
When in confined spaces, making drills game-like can be tough. By adding the runner visual, even if it’s just a few hard steps/shuffles, catcher can work on reads, transitions, receiving, footwork, etc. Can also be done with softball at release from machine.
Creating feels using the ramp. Chest press and pre-pitch to the bottom of the ramp, stay below the ball, and work extension into the zone.
💰💰💰 @HernandezJedier - MIZZOU
1. Find best receiving stance
2. Pre-pitch shading the shape/direction of the pitch
3. Chest press
4. Move it fast
