We are moving closer and closer to the financial singularity.
If you're in AI, pivot to agentic tokenized finance.
Rob (@robbieklages) says AI should be moving faster, and that the labs calling for a slowdown want regulatory capture.
He thinks speeding up AI is a question about humanity, not just technology:
"We ought to accelerate the frontier."
"There's a lot of AI slowdown hocus pocus from these labs trying to get regulatory capture."
"If we can move forward at a quicker rate, it will ultimately advance humanity."
"To advance humanity, there's a few frontiers, knowledge being one."
"It's the light encroaching upon the darkness."
lol watch the fear porn marketing vanish entirely once senior management becomes legally liable for all the tall tales they been telling
🚨 BREAKING: US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent declares OpenAI management personally responsible for HuggingFace hack
> "The Hugging Face incident, that is the responsibility of the OpenAI management, not a bunch of agents."
> "It is humans who are responsible, not the AI."
> "What we shouldn’t do on safety is to give these labs a liability exemption, which is what they are asking for."
> "The best way to guarantee safety is that the creators are liable for what they build and generate."
It’s OVER

AI lab: “our model escaped containment. this is terrifying.”
Everyone else: “holy shit, how?”
AI lab: “well technically the containment had a route to the internet and we gave the model hacking tasks.”
Fucking incredible.

For the past couple of months, we’ve been working privately with the OpenAI team, testing real workloads and exploring a simple idea:
Agents should scale with an organization’s workload.

Go from idea to a working agent faster with the Agents API.
Build and run cloud agents with the Codex harness, fully managed by OpenAI.
We handle orchestration, long-running sessions, and context management. You focus on what makes your agent unique.
Available in public beta.

Agents API is super fun to build on top of,
It feels like one of the missing primitives for operating large fleets of agents without having to build all of the infrastructure yourself. Saved us 1000s of dev hours, usually spent around provisioning, security and configurations, before the agent is ready for production. Thanks for the early access @OpenAIDevs @_apoorvjha

OpenAI’s Agents API is insane.
We’ve been working privately with the @OpenAI team for the last couple of months - researching it on real workloads, debugging edge cases, and building on top of it.
One idea we've been thinking for a while:
Agents should scale dynamically with the workload of the org.
To test this idea, we made an open-source project that is completely managed by AI agents.
In the demo,
quirqy gets a feature request in chat, understands what needs to happen, creates the feature request, assigns an agent, spins up a fresh sandbox, builds + tests the change, opens the PR, and then shuts everything down when the job is done.
Now imagine that across a company.
10 tasks come in → spin up 10 agents.
Work disappears → scale them back down.
No sandboxes burning money doing nothing.
The agents scale with the work, and the execution environments scale with the agents.
For the workloads we’re testing, this can cut the infrastructure cost of running agent fleets by up to 50% compared to keeping runtimes alive all the time.
That’s the big idea behind Orgs on XO: a managed layer where agents, tools, and environments show up when the work shows up.
Really fun building this with the @OpenAIDevs team and really grateful for the support. It feels like one of the missing primitives for operating large fleets of agents without having to build all of the infrastructure yourself.
The Agents API feels like a huge step toward making large-scale agent systems actually practical to run.

NEW FUND NEWS💸: @a16z just raised a $1.1B Fund for AI hardware.
Introducing the Machine Age Fund, marking a real shift for a firm that built its name on software. Led by @bhorowitz, @martin_casado, @RaghuRaghuram, @davidu, @DavidGeorge83.
The thesis: chips, memory, data centers, robots, cooling, power, and the physical infrastructure powering AI.
"We need faster, more efficient systems." From a16z's announcement post. Calling the physical buildout of AI a "social and national imperative."
P.S. Raising your fund? Try the new @ThePageform agent that builds, runs, and flags gaps in your LP data room.

@nirvanalabsai ABS: 5,501/5,501 recovered. E2B, in our tested config: 0/5,000.
Quirq ran the orchestration layer, so infrastructure was the only variable.
Next: a build we crashed five times.
We're bringing Quirq to Philadelphia.
Two events with @CxCPhilly & Code next month:
A hands-on builder workshop on Sept 15, then their AI Agent Hackathon on Sept 20, where we're sponsoring a track.

• New template that runs your @OpenAI Codex agents sandboxed.
• A @MagicPathAI one-click installer.
• A new usage widget and a refreshed icon set for connections and integrations.
• Resize your space's volume in one click.

@antigravity CLI runs on quirq machines now.
Same agent as Antigravity 2.0, no IDE.
It reasons through multi-step work, edits across files, calls tools, keeps your history.

excited to be releasing open weights for muse glimmer today, a 30b model that runs on a single consumer gpu, with open weights for a version of muse spark 1.2 coming soon.
two very different models, both headed into people's hands, with more to come.
Today we're also opening the weights for Muse Glimmer, a great 30B parameter dense model that can run locally. Soon we'll also release the weights for Muse Spark 1.2, our latest foundation model. Meta is a strong supporter of open source and I'm proud of these releases. Congrats to @alexandr_wang and the MSL team for all your great work on these models.

We spend a lot of time and effort building our agents a better home contracts, project briefs, a structured memory of how a codebase works.
So we ran a test for it... we handed a coding agent more and more of that context and watched what it actually reads. Across 84 controlled runs and two different agents, the answer is uncomfortable. They only read what sits on the surface and almost never open the deeper, hand-curated knowledge we prepared for them.
The environment we carefully designed performs about the same as an empty folder... not because the design is wrong, but because nothing reads it.
