You never actually touch the tree.
The feeling of your hand on bark is electromagnetic repulsion. Electron clouds repel across a gap that never closes. Your brain reads the force as touch. The atoms never meet.
Across that same gap: phytoncides diffuse into your lungs and raise natural killer cell activity for 7+ days. Electrons flow from the grounded tree into your blood. The tree itself is mostly air fixed by sunlight.
The gap is the connection.Touch a tree today everyone.

This doesn’t end well.
AI will shrink the payroll tax base at the same time debt service has already passed the Canada Health Transfer.
Employment taxes (income tax, CPP, EI) fund a large share of federal revenue. Automation and robotics reduce the human labour that generates those receipts. Corporate profits from AI do not automatically replace them at the same rate or tax intensity.
PBO numbers: debt service is now $59.3B this year (above the $57.4B Canada Health Transfer) and projected at $83B by 2030-31. Cumulative borrowing over five years: $733B vs $333B in deficits. Interest is paid first.
This collides with AI-driven job displacement, sustained high immigration, and rising policing and social-order costs. Narrower revenue base, larger interest bill, higher expenditure pressure — all in the same window.
Canada’s delivery record on major projects has not matched its announcements. The robotics/AI cycle will not wait.

Congratulations @LDoerkson
The province needs a fresh start.
Young British Columbians struggle to find good jobs, keep up with rising costs, and build their future in the province they call home.
We can’t afford to lose the next generation. Something needs to change.
Let's bring back hope, opportunity, and a future in BC worth staying for.
On October 24, vote for change. Vote Conservative.
Chatham House just admitted the leash is broken.
Oct 15 warning: Trump could emerge from the midterms “unshackled from electoral constraints” and more disruptive internationally. Same fear whether he wins or loses the House.
Susan Kokinda (Promethean Action) lays it out: for a century Chatham House + CFR enforced the Mackinder playbook — keep the great powers divided, isolate Russia, maintain the special relationship. Every recent president stayed on reservation. This one won’t.
Rubio: “We’re no longer going to be defensive.”
Tariffs (301/232), Green New Deal rollback, DPA refining restart, ~$4B recent manufacturing/pharma credit, $11.3T investment commitments — all via existing executive tools. A Democratic House can hold hearings. It can’t reverse the core levers already in motion.
ASEAN, APEC, G20 proceed regardless. The old three-pillar control system (think tanks, press, Congress) is failing in real time.
Globalists are in checkmate. Both midterm outcomes leave them without their traditional moves.

I live in a land of quarterly actuals and audits, the good news is he’s asking the right questions the bad news is Canada needs this data running in real time with actual numbers.
He doesn’t talk about the results, he talks about impressions - trade talks stalled, the vast majority were unimpressed, it reeked of desperation and un professionalism, it shut down lines and diverted production capacity to the states.
#BREAKING: Corrupt Mark Carney LIES when he said there was “no merit” in Canada interfering in the U.S. midterms and politics.
Here is proof of Liberal Doug Ford admitting to wanting to interfere in the US midterm elections.
@fordnation @MarkJCarney
And after 25 federal salt typhoon breaches we are going to look to a Canada EU team to build digital infrastructure.
Canada: Lost Over 2.4 Billion In Fraud In Canada Since 2022. In 2025 Fraudulent Activity Cost Canadiens over 702 Million. 201,000 General Fraud Cases in 2023. The Highest Impact Areas Are In Investment Scams, Romance Scams And Job Scams. Yet Adequate Resources Are Not Allocated Or Any Serious Effort Is Put Forward To Reduce Fraud in Canada
So important please repost.
Elon Musk says that “US taxpayer money [that goes to Ukraine] comes back through multiple laundry machines to fund political campaigns in America.” 🇺🇦 🇺🇸
Elon Musk is asking a very simple question that someone in Washington should have asked long time ago. Who is getting rich off this war, and why does nobody in Congress want to find out?
The Council on Foreign Relations estimates about $106 billion directly aids Ukraine’s government, a government that Transparency International has ranked among the most corrupt in Europe every single year it has been measured, a government whose defense procurement chief was arrested for embezzlement while soldiers were dying for lack of equipment.
The people fighting this war did not choose it, and the people profiting from it are not fighting.
How dare she speak for Canadians “we” I guess the US is failing with its 550 Canadian tech founders now thriving in the US.
@cafreeland you are not an elected official, you have a repeated history of embarrassing this country and you need to stop speaking for it.

An important fact sheet from @USAmbCanada
My apologies ambassador Hoekstra for what is an increasingly hostile environment.

Extraordinary times we are living in with a firmer Clinton campaign aid reporting to Carney as the chief operating officer - wonder what that job entails?
US Embassy in Ottawa accused Canadian leaders of trying to sway the November 3 midterms. 🇨🇦 🇺🇸
The Embassy is doing exactly what it should be doing, documenting a foreign government’s stated strategy to manipulate American electoral outcomes.
When Russia bought Facebook ads aimed at swing states in 2016, the entire American political establishment called it foreign election interference. When Canada’s industry minister announces she is designing tariff retaliation to maximize political pain in states where congressional races are competitive, the same people refuse to call it foreign election interference.
Rogers 1.6% credit-card processing fee → Starlink
Rogers (and Fido) will add a 1.6% “credit card processing charge” on bills paid by credit card starting January 17, 2027. It applies to both one-time and auto-pay. Quebec customers and certain specialized/Shaw-migrated plans are exempt. Rogers says it reflects rising card-company costs (they cite ~$150M/year). Other methods (debit, direct bank debit, online banking, cheques, etc.) avoid the fee.
Starlink’s own help center states any extra “processing fee” after purchase is from the customer’s bank or card issuer (foreign-transaction or similar), not a Starlink charge. Starlink does not add its own percentage processing fee on top.
@Starlink can’t scale fast enough
