how incredibly irresponsible is it to use your big platform and influence over so many fans to tell them not to vote for or support enhypen/evan in these awards just because your personal agenda matters more to you than the boys and their hard work?!?!
seeing how far some people have taken it, to the point where supporting enhypen feels like something they have to actively avoid. like, how did we get here? how did seeing the boys win, get recognition or have a successful comeback become something that’s treated like a bad thing just because they’re doing it as six?
i genuinely can’t understand looking at enhee, the music they’re making, the work they’re putting in and everything they’ve achieved, and thinking “i need to make sure they don’t get this” just to prove something.
imagine working your ass off for years only to have fans who would rather see you fail at something you really want to achieve because they’re so attached to their idea of what enhypen has to be. imagine having people who claim to love you completely ignore your own words, your decision and everything you’ve said about the situation just because they’re too selfish to accept that things didn’t go the way they wanted them to.
if your "activism" starts turning into actually celebrating enhee getting less recognition, less support and fewer opportunities just to make your point, then maybe you shoul ask urself where the line is between being a fan and being so invested in the boycott that the boycott becomes more important than the artists you wanted to protect in the first place.
For those who are unsure whether they should participate in the MAMA voting this year or not, remember not to do it. Not voting is also part of the boycott, and if you want this boycott to succeed, don’t participate in the voting either, because voting for ENHYPEN and helping them win the categories they’re nominated for means giving ENHYPEN even more visibility as six. It means proving to the company that even if ENHYPEN has one or two fewer members, ENHYPEN is still ENHYPEN, no matter which member they kick out of the group.
And it’s not just me saying this. A friend of mine who’s a k-engene also talked about how important it’s for us not to participate in the voting and that we shouldn’t give ENHYPEN as six even more support, since our purpose as boycotters is to prove to the company that ENHYPEN isn’t ENHYPEN if the group isn’t complete with all seven of our members.
So with that said, I won’t be participating in the MAMA voting this year either. Besides, I’m just not in the mood for it, especially after seeing how much the company disregards its own artists.

how are you going to claim you “support all seven” while telling people not to vote for enha or evan, you don’t get to actively work against the group and then hide behind “i’m doing this for them”. if you can’t support enha or evan in their new path then stop calling yourself a fan. saying we shouldn’t give enha “even more support” or “more visibility” as six or even trying to imply that you willing want evan to fail on his soloist career only to make a damn point makes it pretty damn clear where you stand.
and the whole “we’re boycotting because of the mistreatment” narrative falls apart when you start making posts like this, actively discouraging people from supporting both and only encouraging your followers to adopt the same anti behavior you have.
