Don't come for me but it makes me feel that we really didn't need a s6 because they weren't really thinking about s5 as a fully fleshed out storytelling arc. s5 was an opportunity to have some fun, and pull off a few really crucial and incredible episodes.

Enough time has passed and I think I can admit that I still hate the fact that we lost so much from characters lives because everything was happening behind the camera and that they made this season have a sitcom structure with zero continuity to previous episodes.

I wish they had told more story with what time they did have. But maybe it just wasn't what they had in the tank? Certainly they were capable of it, but decided against it. And just used those few bangers to tell the story they DID want to tell. And the rest was for laughs.

I'm grateful for what we got in s5 which includes some of the all time best episodes of the series. But maybe they actually were done telling this story if they didn't need the whole season to flesh it out.
