Gemini 4 Argon built a 3D periodic table synced to Tom Lehrer’s song, “The Elements.” Created in @Antigravity, it animates orbiting electrons, atomic data, and light spectra.

🚨: For years we were taught that the brain rules and the heart only pumps blood. But modern physiology reveals something much more disturbing: the heart has its own "minibrain". Inside the heart there is a real neural network—the heart's intrinsic nervous system—made up of tens of thousands of neurons capable of processing information locally. Not a metaphor: This circuit analyzes signals, makes quick decisions, and sends instructions to the brain through nerves and heart rate patterns.

Family birthday parties have a way of bringing you back down to earth. 90% of people have never heard of "Claude" or "agentic AI." They have no idea what today’s AI is capable of or what is currently unfolding. We live in an ivory tower; the average person, at most, knows ChatGPT, viewing it simply as a chat window, a sort of "better Google." We are still so early, it’s crazy. And no, most of those people don’t even use AI in their workplaces.

wild developments in understanding consciousness
This preprint shows our brains are constantly flickering (~16 Hz) between multiple representations of reality, and suggests there is a "selector" that determines which state we perceive. Interestingly, LSD rather reliably creates a "strobe" effect at about the same frequency. (To be more precise, people report ~15-20 Hz). The bouncing ball illustrated below shows what that 16 Hz strobe effect looks like. Is LSD perhaps persisting older representations of reality in each conscious epoch? Maybe it is doing something similar in the suppressed epochs since LSD obviously has more cognitive effects than a visual strobe. Weirdly some drugs like 2C-B give a slower strobe effect (5.5 Hz) and DMT gives a faster strobe (22 Hz). Do they change the rate at which we flip between conscious and suppressed temporal epochs, along with enhancing the persistence of conscious states?

1/ We discovered something totally unexpected about the neural structure of consciousness that overturns decades of thinking on its biological basis and brings us significantly closer to the recipe for generating conscious awareness. New preprint: biorxiv.org/content/10.64898… (led by @HesseJanis, with @FrankLanfranchi, @_conor_mcgrory, @Yuelin_Shi, and @EngelTatiana)
