a user messaged us: hit their AI limit in under a minute turns out it was our bug. every message sends the whole chat to the model, and we only summarised a chat once it was nearly 1M tokens. their chat was at 846k tokens, so one message cost more than the whole 5-hour limit from today long chats auto-summarise past 150k tokens. deepseek v4.1 flash writes the summary for a few cents we also reset everyone's AI usage to zero. go pick up your chats
