speaking as someone who has played this game since open beta: this is far and away the biggest and worst controversy this game, its developers, and its community has ever been through btw.
the only thing that came even remotely close to how pissed and upset I've seen everybody be over this and how bad the ramifications of whats happened has been was the "Civilization" incident, and that was lightyears more innocent/dismissable than this was.
if they don't handle this right and make things right with the community I truly do feel this may end up killing the game long-term, bc now nobody has any trust in anybody at BHVR on a fundamental human being level.
