Brilliant. People may discount Xillenians because we're such a tiny group, but our influence can move bigger groups. We know what's going on. @harrisonjaime @jakejsullivan @cameron
I approve every single shade throwing on Musk @cameron
He's just such a clueless fucker, it's low hanging fruit. Every. Single. time.
“Elon Musk spent $240 million. I spent $1 million. I figure pretty good return on investment, right?” –@GovPritzker on how much he spent in the Texas Governor’s race.
My AI vibe coding cohort was Meh we dont do politics, when I told them oh actually the US elections are going to bring hellfire down on AI data centers. #StartUpLife
Business has to pay attention to politics. otherwise you're clueless.
Hinojosa on AI/Data Centers: We have always been a pro-business state in Texas. But what changes now with me as governor is it has to be a partnership that benefits Texans.
What has happened is data centers have moved into mostly rural communities, and there are no rules and laws to protect Texans and Texans are being taken advantage of.
So the difference is we will have laws to protect Texans, and we need to stop what we are doing with data centers until we have those protections, we can have a strong economy, strong industry and protections for the people of Texas. Those things are not mutually exclusive. And I'll make sure as governor, I lead to ensure that that happens.
Tapper: So you're not ruling out that data centers will be able to be built in Texas. It's just you want there to be regulations to protect communities. Is that right?
Hinojosa: And that communities have a seat in the at the table to decide if and how these data centers come into their communities. Texas is like a country. We are so diverse in all the ways different communities have different needs, and those communities have to be able to walk away from the table to leverage what they need for their community. So absolutely, we need to make sure they are partners in this effort. And that has always been my position. It is not that I hate data centers. I hate the way they are taking advantage of Texas, and that stops when I'm governor.
Democrats are on the cusp of winning white voters because I said the demographic politics was harmful and came with solutions for @harrisonjaime @jakejsullivan
Basically everything the GOP knew they were doing wrong. And that's the power @ezraklein doesn't have. @AvidReaderPress
I feel like George Martin gave us the most honest response, as demonstrate this week, to Manhattan espresso drinking liberals who have no idea about Ag, or faith like @ezraklein
You know nothing Jon Snow.
@AvidReaderPress
@politico @danielsgoldman @harrisonjaime
Hopefully we wont see 12 year old behavior from the new Dem cohort just yelling about fucking Trump over. Whatever the strategy, hopefully we get a mature cohort ready to do business not perform.
It's fascinating to me that @ezraklein who write a book about tribalism with no solutions is interviewing my answer to the solution. @harrisonjaime
and that his publisher @AvidReaderPress couldn't have a conversation with me about it @MindyMarques @politico @jakejsullivan
I notoriously wrote an email to @biolau @CalvinKnights and #Rivendell @yale faculty an email that Jesus was angry one time, living in Roman times where Roman men had tons of sex with boys, and it wasnt about homosexuality. #NailedIt @harrisonjaime @jakejsullivan @politico
Never since we learn about the vision the founding fathers... have I heard a vision foundationally of what the country should be built on before. @harrisonjaime @politico @jakejsullivan
Any extremist progressives arguing about Marx still..
Read the room. These candidates have. You aren't.
I love seeing how many incoming candidates understand how bad Ag has been hit by Trump. I guarantee the Marxist weilding "progressives" and Manhattan espresso drinkers have no Fng clue how important Ag is. @harrisonjaime @politico @bluestein @danielsgoldman
Agree. I think the GOP writes off MS. Its great to see that the Dems actually care about representing our poor step sister of GA.
E J Ferguson retweeted
The national hunger for change was huge, but it also took exceptional candidates like @scott_colom, who knew and reflected their states very well and organized relentlessly to ride the wave.
And in many red states, including MS, it also took Republican incumbents who assumed the @GOP nomination was tantamount to election and thought the key to nomination was lockstep fidelity to @realDonaldTrump--even when it meant ignoring the interests of folks back home.
It was a perfect storm.
My thought is maybe if there's a black woman overseeing voter rolls, it will help black voters trust the process more. But I hope it also opens up an understanding you have to correct fraudulent and dead voters, and you can do so without violating voting rights. @harrisonjaime
Average voters can see the best of themselves in these new faces of the DNC. Which we can't see in rabid intolerant extremists yelling about Marx and having a metldown when we argue. @harrisonjaime @politico
James Talarico, who flipped the senate seat to the Democrats, on Gaza:
There was a theologian who said 'I screamed at God for the starving children until I realized the starving children was God screaming at me.'
Dems should listen to their newly elected who bring ethics and a soul to the party, and who resonate with the electorate.
They should realize that this victory should never be followed by business as usual.
Trump took part of the electorate captive because he could channel their anger. people are past anger now, they are asking for mercy and redemption through a moral revolution.
