Completely missed the .si train — the whole thing felt way too close to the classic NFT / ENS club pump-and-dumps I’ve seen too many times.
Different game though when Trump, Elon and co. start acting as the main KOLs for the “Super Intelligence” narrative😄
GG to everyone who made solid flips (or maybe even hold great long-term assets ).

Genuine question for fellow domain investors.
My recent sale of Avoryn.com has me rethinking my nameserver strategy. I paid 25% in commission as I used Atom premium landers for this name (as opposed to 15% if I used Afternic NS).
Most of my sales come through Afternic anyway. Does it still make sense to keep using Atom Premium landers?
What's your setup?
Sold on @Afternic 🎉
HT: 5 months
Acquisition cost: $ 70 (expired auction)
My highest DNS sale so far.
Grateful for the buyer and looking forward to seeing what they build with it.
Confession:
Two months ago I was ready to accept $3k for Avoryn dot com.
In the end I held on and it sold for more than double the amont.
Patience doesn't always pay off, but this time it definitely did. 🧘

the cynical view on @nicksdjohnson's actions is that the DAO never really existed but i think that's inaccurate.
the DAO does exist and the protocol and treasury is owned by the DAO. it would take an investment of ~$20 million dollars to equalize his actions. that's nothing compared to the value ENS provides to the Ethereum ecosystem.
state of things (from an outside perspective):
- ENS revenue has been steadily declining for years. proof: onchain protocol revenue
- funding of ENS Labs has been steadily increasing. proof: past payments to ENS Labs
- ENS Labs has great people but has been under-performing for years. no sense of urgency, direction, or quality. proof: take a look at the ENS v2 dapp. it's embarrassing to say the least (for a company that's being funded with close to $10m / year). same goes for core infra provided by them like the ENS Metadata Service and the L2 pivot.
what the ENS DAO should do (these are not my ideas but i think they are good):
- find support from the Ethereum ecosystem to safeguard the DAO
- start a revenue sharing program: apps that are used to register / renew domains get 50% of initiated protocol revenue. this would align incentive with the ecosystem and greatly increase the number and quality of integrations.
- fund a multi client inspired service/research provider future, make ENS Labs a normal service provider like any other. Let capitalism solve the issue of bad performance through competition between SPs
- have yearly elections of a core leadership team on the/a foundation to manage legal, brand, public relations, etc.
To put it in context, Nick has more voting power than the top 50 delegates combined. During my term as Metagov I implemented two Governance distribution programs that gave (vested) over 100k ENS tokens to contributors of ENS, over $2M in market value at the time.
The program was discontinued when I left but even if we had continued yearly, at the highest budget ever proposed, it would take almost 30 years to match Nick's votes.
It pains me to see how the ENS DAO was all just decentralization theatrics.
