The recent wave of Lagos Run and Lagos Life got me thinking about what happens after an African game goes viral? Who helps developers retain players, find talent, monetise their games and build on that attention? I went down a rabbit hole researching the African gaming ecosystem, from the early days of Danfo games to Lagos Run and Lagos Life. I wrote about what I found, the gaps worth investigating, and why I think community might be part of the answer. #Ecosystem

Okayyyy, so l am finally doing the thing. I am starting my YouTube journey. We are talking community management, breaking into tech, career growth, building a portfolio, navigating opportunities, attending tech events, building in public and figuring things out as we go. Basically, all the things I wish someone had sat me down to talk about when I was starting out. And, of course, little bits of my life in between because there’s more to me than my Linkedin and Xprofile 🌚 First video drops tomorrow at youtube.com/@ibi_fiberesima

I think we’ve been taught to build our career backwards. “Wait until you are ready”………they say. But what if the fastest way to build experience... is to stop waiting for someone to give it to you?

It’s never too late to build anything. All it takes is just one executed idea and boom, people are loving and using what you’ve built.

Two founders launch the same AI app on the same day. Founder A spent 6 months perfecting the product. 0 followers. 0 email list. Launch day: 40 signups, mostly friends. Founder B spent those 6 months posting about what they were building. 8,000 followers. 1,200 people on the waitlist. Launch day: 900 signups. Same idea. Same tools. Different outcome. Founder A's app is better. Nobody will ever find out. In 2026 the code takes a weekend. The audience takes a year. If you're building in silence, you're not being humble. You're just making it harder for anyone to find you. Post the ugly version. Share the numbers. Start now.

The smartest broke people I know all have the same problem They refuse to sell themselves They think: - Self-promotion = cringe - Marketing = sleazy - Selling = desperate So they stay brilliant, humble, and broke. The market can't pay you if it can't find you

The things you can do with Claude are insane mehn. We made this for @Vest_Gas . The brief was simple: a rider coming to refill gas, Lagos Life style. Love the outcome 🤭

You think the whole world is building apps because you spend too much time on X. Step outside and you'll realize most people don't even know wtf Claude Code / Codex is.

Opportunity won't go to the most qualified guy. It goes to the most visible guy. The game is the game.
