The act of creation is painful.
But you would do it over and over again.

I miss the era when having enormous wealth was seen as profoundly embarrassing and potentially cause for damnation, to the extent that robber barons would attempt to rid themselves of their massive fortunes by building libraries, museums, concert halls, research universities.
Social media communities, when I was a teenager, saved my life.
Powerful adults spawned the dark side of social media sites, take advantage of the children using them, and yet the children get punished.
Children do not deserve to shoulder the guilt of adult wrongdoings.

🚨 SUMMARY: The UK's social media ban for children from early 2027:
- "User-to-user" apps where people create, share and interact with content (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, X, Facebook) will be banned for under-16s
- WhatsApp, Signal and YouTube Kids will be exempt
- Under-16s will also be banned from livestreaming, messaging strangers on gaming apps like Discord and using disappearing messages
- 16 and 17 year olds will face nightly social media curfews and limits on infinite scrolling with more details next month
- AI "romantic companion" chatbots will be banned for under-18s
- Adults can still access social media through age checks like facial recognition, digital IDs, passports and credit cards

Studies in AUS found that since the social media ban went into effect teenagers are significantly less educated on news and events and more ignorant on what’s going on in the world. This is the goal. Western govts saw the rise of the information age and are seeking to quash it

#SNLUK is the shining diamond in the rough of the UK’s Saturday night entertainment. Amidst a stagnant swamp of formulaic quiz game shows and tired talent shows, it’s such a breath of fresh air.
The writers and the cast and everyone involved should be so fucking proud.
