It was stolen from Hachinosu and was one of the six devil fruit prizes on God Valley. The fruit eventually fell into the hands of a Holy Knight/Celestial Dragon. Sometime later, without knowing the significance of the fruit’s underlying powers, it was force-fed to Boa Hancock as a form of entertainment. I believe this particular fruit holds the power to depetrify an ancient being, specifically, the Serpent of Hell, which is the Red Line itself, petrified since the First World. The connection is fitting, as Boa Hancock’s epithet is also serpent-themed. This could explain why Blackbeard targeted the fruit; once awakened, its power might not require the user’s beauty to function. The revival of the Serpent of Hell is definitely key in destroying the Holy Land, given that it rests atop the Red Line.
