Jovana Popovic is the best guard on UConn’s roster. She’s a freshman and we haven’t even seen her in a real game yet, but I feel pretty confident about that statement.

Based on what we saw from Jovana Popovic in UConn’s preseason game, I think we should expect to see her as one of the top freshmen in the country by the end of the season (much like we did with Blanca last season).

Takeaways from tonight’s game: - We need Blanca back - Popovic = Nika Muhl on steroids - Bad shooting night for SS, but when she hits her shots everything else will fall into place -I loved Vukosa, especially for it being her first game ever - UConn is still good, don’t worry!!

In their non-conference schedule, UConn is playing all but 2 of the teams that made the Elite 8 last year… and people are still going to say their schedule is weak. But this is probably one of their toughest schedules in recent memory.
