Polymarket halted trading after attackers drained ~$2.7M via a compromised DebugBear monitoring script.
The malicious code hijacked live sessions, sold positions & withdrew funds, no passwords or seeds stolen. Trading resumed after ~1 hour; @Polymarket plans to reimburse users.

Google Wallet (with Google Pay) is now live in Nigeria.
Android users can add supported Mastercard cards from banks like FirstBank, GTBank, UBA & Zenith (plus one UBA Visa prepaid) and use tap to pay on NFC phones/Wear OS watches, plus online payments.
It brings tokenised security and a digital home for cards, tickets & passes, a solid step for Nigeria’s cashless push, though merchant contactless terminals remain limited.

Four data leaks reported on Oct 28 involving Coinbase, Bithumb & Korean firms.
Coinbase (via third party Amplitude) exposed contact info for a small number of customers, no funds or internal systems hit.
Daishin Securities: personal + credit data of ~38,490 customers leaked.
Bithumb and Mirae Asset also reported separate incidents.
Reminder that third party risks remain a big weak point in crypto & finance.

Microsoft offers voluntary buyouts to ~60,000 employees (~25% of its workforce)
The tech giant is targeting VP level and below staff on select teams (Xbox, Windows, Copilot, Finance) in the US, Canada, India, and UK. Eligible employees must decide by early December and leave by Dec 31, receiving standard severance.

Keystone (crypto hardware wallet) disclosed a breach that exposed customer names, contact info, shipping addresses, and order details via its Shopify store.
No seed phrases, private keys, or payment info were taken.
