Few years ago, I was sweeping the dusts of Shomolu, PWD, Oshodi with my feet while doing market research for Dufil foods, amidst other hustles… Today, I’m the Biggest Web3 Host in Africa and a Pharmacist… ….and we’re just getting started!

Hiring A Chef For A Kitchen With No Food In it fix Won't Fix Dinner. Yet that's what many Web3 projects do. They bring in a growth strategist while the basics are missing, and the strategist spends the first month fixing things the team could have fixed alone, at a price. Before you spend on strategy, put these in place. 1. Know why the market should care right now Say it in one sentence: why should anyone care about this project today? If your own team can't answer that, no strategist can answer it for you. Every tactic you run later depends on this answer, so get the narrative clear first. 2. Make your page worth landing on Every campaign, collab, and shoutout sends people to your X profile. Treat it as your storefront. Give it a clear bio, a pinned post that explains the project in plain words, and steady posting. If the page is messy, you pay to send traffic to a place that doesn't convert. 3. Go direct instead of just broadcasting Posting into an open timeline is mostly shouting into a crowd. The people who move your numbers already sit in alpha groups, Telegram communities, meme trader circles, collector spaces, and creator networks. Reach out to them directly. One DM to the right person can do more than ten posts nobody sees. 4. Start collaborating early Collaborations are the fastest growth lever in Web3. Partner with other communities, creators, media pages, and ecosystem projects. You borrow the trust and audience they spent months building, and you can start on day one. 5. Build a home for your community Open a Telegram or Discord, and put real people in charge of it. Welcome newcomers, answer questions, and keep conversations moving. A dead group tells visitors the project is dead too, so an empty one is worse than none. 6. Run simple, gamified activity Small giveaways, contests, and challenges turn people who watch into people who take part. Keep the rules easy and the rewards clear, and reward the members who actually contribute instead of those who only farm. 7. Give your holders and users a voice Let early supporters post their thesis, their reviews, and their wins. When a holder explains why they bought, it carries more weight than anything the project posts about itself. It also gets the project in front of people you couldn't reach alone. 8. Track what moves Watch followers, engagement, community activity, and holder or user growth. Without numbers you can't tell what's working, and a strategist hired later will have nothing to build on or scale up with Final Thought Do these eight things well and you aren't hiring a strategist to rescue the project. You're hiring one to scale what already works, and at that point the money pays off. Strategy multiplies what's already there, so start with something worth multiplying.

casual dominance is so attractive - “come here.” - pulling you closer by your waist - “let me handle it.” - gently lifting your chin when you look away - “text me when you get home.” - zipping up your jacket when you’re cold - reaching for your hand without asking - guiding you through a crowded room with his hand on your waist - “come sit next to me.” - kissing your neck while you’re still talking

Building in Web3 takes more than hype. It takes WORK. I sat down with @teddi_speaks, founder of NFTNG and convener of Unchain Summer, to talk about the vision, the grind, and what it really takes to build a community. The full interview is now on YouTube. Link in comments 🙏

One thing about me? I’m very intentional about growth. Last year was excellent. I was genuinely proud of how well I did hosting @blockfestafrica But this year? Even I was amazed at just how much could change in one year. Standing on that stage again yesterday, I could see the difference. From my preparation to my delivery, my confidence, and how I connected with the people in the room. And I think that’s the beautiful thing about growth. Sometimes, you’re so caught up in the process of becoming better that you don’t realise just how much you’ve improved until you’re given another opportunity to do something you once did. I’m particularly grateful to the convener, @SamuelXeus , for trusting me with this responsibility once again. Thank you for the opportunity and for believing in what I bring to the table. To @thesarahidahosa @thecryptoreo @olanetsoft @TheAmahra and the entire @blockfestafrica team, a massive well done! I know how much work goes into bringing an event of this magnitude to life, and you all deserve your flowers. ❤️ Beyond the excitement of yesterday, I’m walking away with new lessons, beautiful connections, and an even greater appreciation for what it means to keep refining your craft. Blockfest Africa 2026. One for the books! ❤️ ~Flames The Biggest Web3 Host
