I’ve just heard of the passing of a friend whom I’ve known for many years, Mike Miller. Not only a stellar musician, but a stellar person. We recorded early in our careers with Gino Vanelli, and Mike graced my solo LP with his brilliance. RIP brother. You’ll be greatly missed. 🙏

Master Drummer Art Blakey would have been 100 Years Old today! He’s one of the 1st drummers I remember hearing as a little boy. I have fond memories of visiting him at his place in Harlem with my Dad, as they were good friends. He was a huge influence and inspiration to me!
