팩트) 실제로 스탈린 집권기에 사회주의 국가에 대한 환상과 그곳에서 예술을 펼칠 꿈을 가지고 소련에 밀입국한 일본인 예술가 커플이 있었음. 오카다 요시코와 스기모토 료키치 커플. 1938년 사할리에서 소련으로 밀입국했는데 당연히 소련측에선 이들을 스파이로 의심했고 가혹한 심문을 가함. 스기모토는 이듬해 간첩혐의로 처형당했고, 오카다는 시베리아 수용소로 끌려가 43년까지 벌목작업에 동원되다가 이후 모스크바로 이송되어 소련 공작원들에게 일본어를 가르치는 일에 쓰임. (그로부터 2년뒤 소련은 만주 전역에서 공세를 가해 일본세력을 축출함. 거기에 도움이 되었을 것) 47년 석방되어 90세까지 장수했지만 텅빈 영혼이 다시 채워졌을지는 의문임.
