Mamdani kept Jessica Tisch but wants to replace a Black woman who refused to accept performative gestures and demanded tangible legislation and actions that benefits the Black community!

When this conversation comes up, I always go back to this really succinct quote from Fran Lebowitz.
There's a lot of gay ppl doing culture commentary now who do not know cultural references beyond the ones that have been memes on the internet. In previous generations being gay in that space was all about being a nerd about cultural minutiae of the past. That was the foundation

A Palestinian man won the Nobel prize in chem last year. It’s almost like if you guys didn’t stop bombing the nations we’d produce way more people breaking barriers. But imperialism is literally choking the region.
RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Novel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

this is wild. and people are telling her to tell the library she "lost" the book and keep it and offer to pay them back for another copy. I didnt think this had to be said but dont do that????? if yall LOVE reading so much then you also need to respect libraries

Remember Kohen Wiley. Remember all Black children who never got a chance to grow up. This image is 150 years old.

I actually think my opinion on this topic if fairly unpopular, because I absolutely do believe you at the minimum owe an affair baby acknowledgment IF you stayed married to their adulterous father.
I get that kids born of affairs are innocent and stuff but the main family doesn't owe them a relationship or acknowledgement 🤷🏽‍♀️. If the wife says she wants no part in she's well within her rights to say that.

Literal 6 year old white girls would skip her in meet greets. Do yk how fvcked up that is
Normani went through a A LOT when it comes to the racism she experienced as a teenager. So many things happening behind the scenes and online. While on tour! A 15/16 year old girl going through that. Still experiencing the same hate till this day. I feel bad for her.

It’s going to get worse but we are rapidly becoming a society of two types of people, ones who can function normally the way people have for thousands of years, and the other who have intellectually neutered themselves in the delusional belief that it is to become more efficient
So the people that are anti AI, do you like, not use AI at all??? Like not using it for generative art, and paying artists, I understand, but you're behinnnndddd if you refuse to touch it

no, I’m tired of yall trying to normalize being a bigot bc you’re young😭 For some of yall it was a pillar of ur personality & that’s NOT normal. &kids being mean abt stuff they don’t get is not the same as creating an online acc to sling slurs at ppl as a teen like can we be fr!
You probably had a misogynist/homophobic/transphobic etc. moment as a teen. No teenager is 100% woke and free from evil thoughts, it comes with existing in a society.

funny how black children and teenagers are just expected to go through racist nonsense and to accept it as a normal part of white children and teenagers’ evolutions.
