Every Yankees fan this morning as another disappointing season ends.
I'm probably going to log off soon and enjoy the rest of my night out on the West Coast, but before I do, I need all of you on this platform to look at what happened tonight as a referendum for this organization.
They forced Trent Grisham, in an elimination game, with no history of playoff success, and a .199/.303/.680 slash line in the leadoff position in 2026, into the leadoff spot of game 3 of the American League Division Series.
The result? He struck out four times, twice looking, and the 4th of which, with the tying run on second base in the bottom of the ninth inning down one run, to lose the game, and end the team's season.
Their defiance that they are smarter than you, and subsequently, the rest of the league, is exactly why we are in this position yet again. Losers of another humiliating LDS against a division rival. Another 90+ win season that means absolutely nothing. Another year closer to Aaron Judge's retirement without a World Series title.
I will not take this organization seriously in 2027 unless significant changes are made, both in the way they use data, in the way they build their rosters, and then the urgency they place on games, both in the regular season and certainly in the postseason. This cannot continue. And I will not allow myself to be mentally taxed over 162 game season yet again, to see the exact same ending in the 2027 postseason, or whenever baseball resumes.

This campus could have been built in NY if we adopted a pro-business sensible tax policy approach to our residents. Instead, we vilify our most successful business leaders and make it challenging to do business here.
Nike might really be cooked. My 14 year old daughter just asked me to buy her a pair of Li-Nings. Said all the volleyball girls are wearing them. She even turned down the Sabrina’s. 🤷♂️
BREAKING: After falling -80% from its record high, Nike, $NKE, will be removed from the S&P 100 at the end of this month, ending a near 18-year run in the index.
The stock has now erased -$230 billion in market cap since its all time high.
A collapse for the history books.
I didn’t have on my bingo card — sharp, social commentary from Kyle Kuzma. But, he has been dropping gems lately.
This is 2026. People cosplaying as things they don’t have the authority, the talent, or the track record to actually be. Just for content.
A mayor playing president. A founder playing operator. A content creator playing one-on-one thinking he’s a pro. A 25yr old with a ring light playing economist. Everyone auditioning. Nobody building.
Were raising a generation that learning the reward isn’t in doing the thing it’s in looking like you did the thing. The clip is the career. The pose is the product. The soundbite is the substitute for a life’s work.
Don't fall for distractions
LeBron’s (aka the ring chaser) legacy continues to decline. This drops him below Kobe and Steph for me on the all-time list. Winning rings with a team you’ve built is much harder than joining loaded teams.
BREAKING: LeBron James is signing with the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-year, $8 million deal with a player option, Klutch Sports Group and Klutch CEO and Game Over show host Rich Paul tells ESPN.
They knew Wemby was a fraud and they gave him the tier D shaolin training. #iykyk

Great to meet NYC's homegrown star, @AlvaradoJose15. But next time, Jose, just call me. Let’s go Knicks!

-He falls on 51% of shots he IS fouled on
-He falls on 17% of all shots he takes

Maybe the biggest takeover of a road arena in NBA history. Knicks fans absolutely packing this arena after the win to go up 3-0 🙌

Felt like this call embodied a lot of John Sterling. Timely, creative, and a sprinkle of whimsy that made listening to the games he called so special.
R.I.P. John Sterling. Sad day for the Yankees fandom. He was the voice of so many great Yankees moments and championships throughout my life. – at Brooklyn, NY
Would be much more financially prudent and better run if the Zohran just paid Aldi to open and operate the supermarkets on behalf of NYC. – at Brooklyn, NY
Fun Facts...
It Costs Aldi about $1.5-3M to Open a New Store
The 5 New York City Run Grocery Stores are budgeted at $60M total
The First Store actually has a $30M Budget to Open
This is after the city will own the sites, waive rent and property taxes, and partner with third-party operators while subsidizing to keep prices lower.
So with a TON of regulations waived, costs absorbed by the tax payers, the project still has a 10x budget,(which they will go way over)
NYC should experiment with doing opt-in sliding increases on taxes. Some people are happy paying more taxes and we should let them decide for themselves. – at Brooklyn, NY
