Still there. Still sending position. I would love to see the police checking the place but the guy on the phone in the police station Zuidstation said he doesn’t speak English and just hung up. Multiple times 🤷
I got a mail from Flickr today. I’m now violating their “new rules” for free accounts. So I finally deleted my @Flickr account. After 12 years, most of the time on a Pro account, and 50k photos. A bit sad. But they’re dying a slow death anyways. Just hope my backup works 😬
And finally I'd like to thank all the great people I met at the @Koelner_Haie_72 over the years. Many came, many left. Others were always around, just like me. Thank you Alex, Philipp, Andrej, Torsten, André, Petra, Olli, Philippe, Anke, Magic and the many I forgot. ❤️
So, today I retire from working on the website that accompanied me through my entire career. @pooliestudios did a fantastic job with the latest version of haie.de and they will take over from here on. I wish you all the best! 💐
Today, after 25 years, the first version of haie.de that I am not responsible for went online. I am so thankful for this extraordinary journey from the early days of the internet to today. Thank you @Koelner_Haie_72 for your trust and all the great memories.
Over the years the CMS was rewritten multiple times. The website got wider and wider, the technical possibilities bigger and bigger. I left my old agency and founded a new one. I shut it down again and moved on to new jobs. haie.de alway accompanied me.
I became co-owner of a fancy web agency called NET communications and the Haie were one of our first clients. Like every agency during that time we built our own content management system in PHP. Super modern: The backend of the CMS worked in IE 5.5 only.
On February 13, 1997 haie.de became the official website of the Kölner Haie. I gave it to them and remained their Webmaster. The launch was broadcasted live over the internet using Real Media. I cannot recall how many viewers we had. A bit ahead of time.
