Trains are not enough, imagine my total discomfiture when the lady behind me on a coach had the call to prayer on speakerphone. I admire her religiousity, I was not the only one who thought there was more going on in a world where fanaticism can be mistaken for seeking martyrdom.

All this kerfuffle, she is legally blonde - she went to law school, and she is blonde - great qualifications for, well, not in court.

Two years ago I rang the bell to end my radiotherapy. Today I remember, not to revel, but to give thanks. I mark the date, I do not throw a party. It is the spirit of gratitude on display. Redeeming the Time akinblog.nl/2026/10/redeemin…

I tell you, audio books are easier and I have listened to books up to 10 times and more, whereas, I'll rarely read a novel more than once. There's something in hearing that sticks including appearing to set you in the location. I had that more with the gospels.

Who really makes these rules? I've been using browsers since NetScape days. I have 16 tabs that I open when Google Chrome launches, the ability to dock vertically offers versatility too. The idea of a life in shambles is projecting. Is one tab open a more organised life then?

We have progressively had "readily available and accessible" things that have taken our fancy until we moved on to the next thing or were distracted by life, the human nature does not necessarily attain the promised productivity gains, in the long run.
