2018 Barkley takeaway #1: I was so proud of never training with poles... but if in training it ain’t steep enough that you HAVE to use poles, it ain’t steep enough.

@BarkleyCourse tips his hat, if he had one, to @gary_robbins for leaving it all out there the past two days. Every year is different and few, if any could have done more. Looking forward to @ameliaboone and @gcalmettes returning for their sophomore efforts in '19. #BM100

Everybody who starts has a low chance. And those who succeed don't let math and logic or reason get in the way of ambition, determination and grit. #bm100

Congrats to all the runners who raced this weekend! Whether it was at the @vanislandseries Tristars Sooke 10k, the #MichaelDunahee Keep the Hope Alive 5k, or anywhere else around the island or beyond. Participating in any race is an awesome thing! #runvictoria #runvancouverisland

“Starting to look dire for 5 loops But Travis in 2013 did 3 in 33:48 still finished. They need to get in now, turnaround under 10 and do a sub-11 3rd loop. It a daylight ine and supposed to be more rain free but mud/slippery from yesterday still a problem.” (from @Barkley2011FH)
