The Seahawks announced they've signed QB Adrian Martinez and LB Jamie Sheriff to their practice squad. They released LB Jimmy Ciarlo and WR Malick Meiga to make room.
Martinez reinforces the QB depth with Sam Darnold (quad) out this week and Drew Lock (elbow) also banged up.

It is interesting that it wasn't also immediately announced he was signing with the Raiders PS

He's not subject to waivers since this is not after the trade deadline. Either he has interest in returning to Seattle (and therefore the interest is mutual) or he goes back to the Raiders PS, which is where he started. I think Cody stays in Vegas.

Seahawks defense has allowed a touchdown on an NFL-worst 83% of their opponent's red-zone drives. 15/18!

You were one of the most efficient offenses in the first 15 scripted plays last year (5th in the NFL) and not one of the most efficient this year (28th). What do you think goes into an offense being really good in the first 15 plays?
"We understand we can string a drive together and go put points on the board, but we definitely want to start faster for sure."

Interesting. The Raiders released Cody White. He'll probably head back to the Vegas practice squad, I guess?

He took this sack just a few minutes earlier and got up really slow and gingerly too. Almost the exact same fall and impact as when he got hurt vs NE. Falling on his knee with a defender’s weight on him from behind. I thought he was cooked when it first happened.

This doesn’t sound great…

Meanwhile, Drew Lock is dealing with an elbow injury. Macdonald: “He’s able to throw. How much, we’re working through that right now.”

I think Darnold hurt his quad on this play. Sack was negated by a penalty but the pain doesn't get negated.
2:21 left in the 3rd quarter. The TV copy actually shows him grimacing a lot more than the All-22, but I think he was seriously dinged up here.

Mike Macdonald indicated there is a chance for Uchenna Nwosu, Rashid Shaheed, Charles Cross, and Leonard Williams to all play this week.
He said it was still too early to tell.
Damn.
Drew Lock will start for the Seahawks, but will be limited in practice with an elbow injury he has had for a few weeks.
Sam Darnold broke a rib early in the game against the Bears and played through it. He hurt his quad at the end of the game.
Jalen Milroe will get plenty of practice reps this week to prepare in case he needs to play.
