📢📢📢RT: I am thrilled to share that our #research has been awarded funding by @ERC_Research at @INRAE_France 🎆
Anyone interested how #plants use volatiles to mediate #species interactions and protect themselves?
Get in touch: we're seeking #postdocs and #PhD starting 2025

The Food & Feed Safety Omnibus should not weaken rules for synthetic pesticides.
It should increase access to biocontrol while supporting a shift towards holistic plant health strategies that put prevention first. 🌱

Here is our experimental answer to the question how plant leaves take up volatiles. Primarily through the stomata, but also across the leaf surface, to enable stress volatile detection when stomata are closed. Tested with the very cool Kalanchoë laxiflora, which has two types of leaves with opposite stomatal opening patterns. Happy reading! sciencedirect.com/science/ar…
