Pete Hegseth fired a Navy Vice Admiral to make her disappear, and yesterday the voters of South Carolina handed her a path to a seat in Congress. Her name is Nancy Lacore.

🇺🇦 Zelenskyy delivers a blunt message to the United States: “Just give us Starlink back. If you refuse, Ukraine will survive. We will continue defending ourselves with or without it. But why would you restrict a country fighting for its survival? Why make it harder for us to defend our people? I simply cannot understand the reasoning behind this decision. It is a mistake.” Ukraine isn’t asking America to fight its war. It’s asking America not to stand in the way of its defense.

There is something so unAmerican and so disturbing about an American president demeaning and poking fun at a fellow American president in the presence of a communist leader, while the previous president is battling cancer. It’s just so sickening.

This is Havilah Babcock, son of old Virginia and the best English professor the University of South Carolina ever had. He would regularly cancel classes during hunting season. I want to be him when I grow up.

It is GAMEDAY🐓 - Coach Kelly and your Gamecocks are in Fargo for what is likely one of their toughest tests of the year - Defenses are usually a little ahead of offenses to start the season, so I really like this seasoned JSU defense to have a great day especially against an NDSU offense with a fair amount of turnover; including a first time starting QB. Albeit he did play well in a backup role in 2025 - As for the Gamecock offense, the biggest question for me might be offensive line. A new OL coach in Adam Ross combined with new names up front like Hadine Diaby, Amarii Atchison, and Ryan Walker; if this unit plays up to standard then I expect Caden Creel and Company to be able to move the ball all day. The X-Factor for Jax State could be the WR2 spot, Ronnel Johnson, Darius Cannon, and Jamill Williams are all going to see playing time and with the amount of attention Deondre Johnson requires any of these 3 guys could have a big debut - Crowd noise is something to keep an eye on as well, it’s going to be a loud Fargodome. If JSU can open up a lead early and take some of the crowd out of it, that would be huge - Score prediction: JSU 27 - NDSU 13 Drop score predictions or thoughts below👇

My wife always blames Reagan for everything. I'm inclined to go with Nixon. Anyway, our @northeastern School of Journalism director Jonathan Kaufman has written what sounds like a great new book, and he agrees with my wife. nytimes.com/2026/09/09/opini…
