"He sounded like he was about to cry. But then I heard him take a breath. Then he changed the subject. Everyone did that. When something hurt, well, we just changed the subject."

Wow.
David Ferrer will coach Casper Ruud!

Taylor Fritz got very, VERY close, with two match points, but falls just short against the tough hurdle of Alcaraz.
So the ATP Finals Turin field is now set, with FOUR debutants.
Cobolli
Fils
Tiafoe
Jodar
And returning players Zverev, Alcaraz, Shelton and Medvedev.

The "Stranger Things" prequel
series is titled "Other Worlds" and has been ordered to series at Netflix for a 2028 release.
• The prequel takes place in 1955 in Marion, Nevada before the events of "Stranger Things" and "Stranger Things: The First Shadow."
• The Duffer Brothers previously told Variety the spinoff would focus on events prior to Henry Creel being exposed to the otherworldly substance that gave him his powers in "Stranger Things."
• "Other Worlds" is co-created by the Duffer Brothers and "First Shadow" writer Kate Trefry, who will also serve as showrunner. Joe Wright will direct the first three episodes

THE GREATEST DEBUT ATP SEASON OF ALL TIME.
Rafael Jodar is the first man to reach the ATP Finals in the same year he made his tour-level debut! 🇪🇸🌟
Fred Bteich retweeted
Was this the biggest choke of the year?
Fritz led Alcaraz 7-6 5-3 with a match point. Then had another match point on serve at 7-6 5-4. And then had a break point at 5-5.
He lost 7-6 5-7 3-6.
Had he won, he would’ve qualified for the ATP Finals. Instead, Jodar makes it.
Brutal.

UNREAL 🤣
Rafael Jodar would've been eliminated from ATP Finals if just ONE of these things had happened:
— De Minaur defeating Etcheverry (0-20 career W-L vs Top 10)
— Djokovic defeating Hijikata, Etcheverry and van Assche
— Fritz winning this point:

🚨Updated probabilities !! 📊
No elimination today ! We'll have suspens until the end !
Fritz 🇺🇸 (17.69%) defeats Fils 🇫🇷 with a masterclass and is one match away from eliminating Jodar 🇪🇸 (46.70%) ! Problem : he will face Alcaraz 🇪🇸 tomorrow evening. Will need to be at least at the same level as tonight if he wants to win !
Paul 🇺🇸 (28.12%) is also in the zone, beating Halys 🇫🇷 and advancing to 1/4 finals. Will face Shelton 🇺🇸. Needs to reach at least the final if he wants to qualify.
Tiafoe 🇺🇸 (97.50%) is still in a great position as only one scenario could eliminate him : a victory of Paul 🇺🇸 over Fritz 🇺🇸 on Sunday ! Otherwise, he will be in Turin !

Lebanon in a tweet - November 5, 2026
No reliable electricity. No running water. No access to our own savings in the banks. Israeli drones hovering overhead. Our land still occupied.
But rejoice! #Lebanon government has unveiled its brand-new visual identity.
Perhaps it needed one.
After all, it seems to have lost its identity altogether.

For just the second time in the last 20 seasons, Novak Djokovic fails to qualify for the ATP Finals:

- 2026 (39 years old)

Big day with one new qualifier and two eliminations !
Fils 🇫🇷 will officially see Turin thanks to Tiafoe's 🇺🇸 defeat against Halys 🇫🇷.
The American remains in really good position (98.82%) as De Minaur 🇦🇺 and Djokovic 🇷🇸 lost today in their R2 matches. Both men are out of the Race ! ❌
Jodar 🇪🇸 (63.67%) had almost a perfect day and can realistically dream of being the last qualifier, even if he is eliminated in Paris.
Must hope that Fritz 🇺🇸 (11.38%) does not reach the semi-finals and that Paul 🇺🇸 (26.12%) does not reach the final, but Paul has a very open draw without Djokovic 🇷🇸, De Minaur 🇦🇺, Tiafoe 🇺🇸 or even Zverev 🇩🇪.
2 spots and 4 contenders : the Race is almost done !
