The Left: Elon is dependant on government contracts, without them his business would die.
Elon: Ok I'll find other sources of business.
The Left: How dare you threaten the American people!!
Always thought he’d be good enough to play in the prem but was always going to need to drop down a level to show everyone his level consistently first.
I don’t get the Andrews is doing a better job that keeps getting repeated. And it’s not a dig at Keith but our two highest points tally’s were under Frank. He had to play almost 2 full seasons without either first choice fullback and zero depth.
We have to give him more game time

Falso. Mi amigo, el gordo piñata - a quien le decimos así porque se colgó el día de su cumpleaños - lo hizo con una soga de ferretería, de poco grosor. Y lo hubiera logrado si no lo encontrábamos.

american thinks he's the first person to discover that penalties are a lot easier to score than goals from open play
I have a hopefully irrational fear that teams are going to realize the average open play chance is worth 0.10 xG, the average penalty is worth 0.79 xG, and we're going to see a rash of simulations where there are widespread, specific instructions for players to get into situations where penalties are often awarded (1v1 wingers seeking contact at the edge of the box, exaggerating contact before a set piece, etc), as the most common retribution is a referee waving play on, and the worst case is a yellow card.
I don't think the balance of these punishments sufficiently counteracts the 8x goal scoring chance improvement in a sport where scoring two goals results in a victory an overwhelming percentage of the time.

Quick reminder that if you’re brutally murdered in your home your family still only gets six months before HMRC will demand inheritance tax.
The house on Dartmoor where Ann Widdecombe met her tragic end has gone on the market for £900k.
She named it 'Widdecombe's Rest' & features five-bedrooms, a swimming pool & 'glorious views' for which the former Tory MP & Govt minister paid £600k for in 2008.
Under 'property information' in their brochure, the agents add a note which reads: 'A significant event occurred at the property in 2026, involving the unlawful death of an occupant. Further details can be provided by the agent.'
Two years after buying the bungalow Miss Widdecombe left Parliament to settle in the sleepy village of Haytor Vale but was still a big figure in public life.
There does seem an indecent haste in selling her house & probate usually takes ages to be granted, but I suppose the executioners of her estate have their reasons.
