FYI. Inuit are NOT part of First Nations, we do not have tribes and don't live on reservations.
Inuit means "People", we are people of the North. Inuk is singular for a member of the Inuit.
And please don't say Inuit people, you're saying people people when you say that.

when some of us side eye Extinction Rebellion for having a racism problem, many people ask why. Here's an example: comparing the police discrimination on Muslims with what (mostly white) climate change activists experience is not equivalent.

Wasn't going to share it, but this is the calibre of the hate mail I've received in the past few weeks. This one came in 12 minutes into my shift and his opening salvo was so wild, I just had to respond. Outside the formatting, this is our exchange verbatim.

I've gotten a lot of hate mail for our latest article about the actual arson figures for this bushfire season. Some have accused us of using bias sources who are pushing a "climate alarmist agenda". Because nothing screams hippy lefty snowflake like the NSW Police.

It seems t*rfs have a new thing (or maybe it's just new to me?), which is saying that "everybody is nonbinary" because no one adheres 100% to gender *stereotypes*. So acknowledging the existence of nonbinary folks is anti-feminist or some such rubbish.
