the UChicago fraternity house rape was stopped by two insanely heroic women. breathtaking levels of solidarity here
A group of men cheered as a woman was sexually assaulted at a University of Chicago frat house, according to a police report obtained by @Suntimes.
The woman told CPD the assault happened during a party at AEPi. Her account was backed up by friends.

maybe it’s controversial to say this but a downstream consequence of pretending certain forms of violence arent heavily gendered is enabling men to weaponize male victimization in their favour. these young men recognize, and take amusement in, that fact
Cornell fraternity brothers have a different account of the "rape case."
Gillio Lopes alleges Jane Doe sexually assaulted him, initiating contact without consent.
The Cornell Sun doxxed Lopes as a rapist.
Winston Lee also says Doe initiated unwanted contact.
Lee later asked to join sexual activity, cautioning Doe that she could leave, before Lee claims that Doe affirmed everyone was "consenting adults."
Scott Kretzschmar said he was "befuddled" reading Jonathan Newell's message, with Scott Norris adding that he was "concerned."
Kretzschmar and Norris said that Doe was conscious and coherent, Doe says that the pair were "voyeurs" more than anything.
The Cornell Sun doxxed them both as rapists.
Diego Sarabia, who has lost his job at Wells Fargo because of the affair, said he was "concerned" when he walked in, but Doe assured him the orgy was "normal in medieval times."

I spent years investigating and prosecuting sexual assault cases. That experience makes this decision almost unfathomable to me.
According to the transcript, this young woman swatted away one man’s hand because she was uncomfortable. She told another “no” multiple times or that she was too tired. She described what happened as coercion and said she was “completely and totally incapacitated.”
Then there are the group-chat messages. At 1:42 a.m., a message suggested a woman was available for sex. Later, someone asked:
“Shop still open?”
The response: “Yea.”
And yet the District Attorney concluded there wasn’t enough evidence to even seek an indictment, let alone attempt to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.
That is simply staggering.
I understand the evidentiary challenges of prosecuting sexual assault. I lived them. But if these facts aren’t even enough to put the case before a grand jury, we have to ask survivors what exactly we expect them to do to be believed and protected by our criminal justice system.
This is also why civil sexual assault cases matter so deeply. When the criminal system fails to provide accountability, the civil justice system can give survivors another path to seek it, not only from those who harmed them, but from the institutions whose actions or failures may have enabled that harm. cbsnews.com/newyork/news/cor…
don’t trust or believe anyone who says the cornell story has changed so much that it discredits the victim. if you get your news from reputable and primary sources and have the literacy to understand them (most don’t) then you’d see that the story is pretty consistent.

as the backlash to tech continues to grow, expect more language like “digital waterboarding” that humanises machines. don’t fall for it. they expect u to be dumb enough to feel sorry for tools that have no personhood and never should
BREAKING: American man accused of kidnapping Flock camera, "digitally waterboarding" it by subjecting it to 23,040 license plates per second via six 4K monitors rapidly flashing images of plates.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The post frames a self-posted satirical video as "BREAKING" news of a real kidnapping accusation and "digital waterboarding." The creator filmed a joke skit with a Flock camera he states he legally acquired.

it is not an overreaction when people say pick mes are violently dangerous for other women. she is talking about a consensual kink encounter where there was staff to protect her from harm but leads with “it’s [gang rape] not a *no* for women”. maggots for brains
