I've finally got "The Art of Multiprocessor Programming". Now my lifetime goal is to make a GPU adaptation 😄

In Anathem by Neal Stephenson, there was a special book used as punishment for scientists: "Since the sole purpose of the Book was to punish its readers, the less said of it the better. To study it, to copy it out, and to memorize it was an extraordinary form of penance."

I wonder if the code above might be considered as an alternative to it.
Ironically, I left Russia because it bombed Ukraine, and now I'm in Armenia, which Azerbaijan is bombing. Is there any safe place left to live?

I was surprised that I classified the following macro as elegant. Has library development spoiled my taste?

Metal is an incredible template metaprogramming library. Its implementation is a bit surprising at first.

Also, if the sudden phrase "Algy calls it . . . mother?" doesn't make sense, it'd be sufficient to know that Algy is Algernon Charles Swinburne, a Victorian poet whose attitude to the sea is questioned by the speaker.

In "The Mathematical Universe", Max Tegmark states that all theories have two components: mathematical equations and "baggage", words that explain how they are connected to what we humans understand. In the case of Ulysses, the baggage is at least infinite.

I've found exceptions in the ptx memory model the hard way. If you expect ld.global.nc to respect sync threads, you'll be surprised.
The event starts in two hours. Here is the link to a Zoom Meeting: us02web.zoom.us/j/8657354822…

I didn't know that nondependent bases are considered before the list of template parameters in the unqualified name lookup.

Should we use this to ensure @gregcons's advice on meaningful type names at the cost of getting meaningless error messages?
We're happy to announce our next online meetup! On February 15th (21:00 MSK - UTC+3), @gmarkall will talk about writing CUDA kernels in Python with Numba: meetup.com/CUDA-Community-Me…
