Now we're doing fucking Kaioken. This is DragonBall Z now. A fucking shonen, great. I bet Aang could have used this a few times before mastering the Avatar State. At this point, I no longer see Bryke as the creators of Avatar. They are the architects of its destruction.
‘Avatar: Seven Havens’ showrunner Ethan Spaulding reveals the new Avatar state is called the “Chakra State.” “Pavi channels [her chakra] when she is interacting and manipulating the energy, and it does give her a little power up for a short time.” (via TV Insider)

I get second hand embarassment when people defend this show.

The irony of this post is that this is almost exactly the plot of Korra Book 3 😂
There needs to be consequences. Bringing back the connection to the past lives would be like at the end of ATLA and Aang gathered the dragonballs and made a wish to bring every airbender killed back to life. The story, the sacrifice, the growth would all feel meaningless.

Neville, I spent the last six years waiting for Avatar Studios to release something, and now that it's finally here, I realize how wrong I was. I knew it would never live up to ATLA, but I foolishly wanted more anyway regardless. You've just caught the tail end of that journey.

This is one of the core pillar issues with the entire show that people choose to ignore. The show just thinks everyone watching is incapable of reading between the lines. The dialogue is so heavy handed, explains every feeling and motivation for everyone.

Why did we allow the term "filler" to escape from anime discussions I'm so tired bruh
Replying to @Carl_Nwakakwa
Honestly ATLA book 1 is dead last. Too much filler, only a few episodes were good. The storm, blue spirit, and siege of the north. That's pretty much it.

The only honest review about this pile of scrap. (Though a 4 is being reaaaallly generous)
Avatar : Seven Havens Review 4/10 A disappointing departure from the world, wonder, and storytelling that made Avatar extraordinary.

Were these shots deliberate artistic references? Just how deep a game was George Lucas playing?

I can not believe how bad Avatar Seven Havens is. The Legend of Korra tarnished Avatar's legacy, but NOT LIKE THIS. What the fuck am i even watching? Exposition, character design, animation, all wrong. I'd take 10 Legend of Korra's over this. Are you all starving for content?

Bro they look no different than the figures Pavi was playing with
OLDER KORRASAMI FINALLY SEEN OMFG

Wow. I really REALLY do not like this at all if this is in the Aang movie novel. So out of character. If this is true, what are Bryan and Mike doing?
Hearing Aang’s internal thoughts of being angry at Zuko for a second about the fact that it was his family that murdered his people was everything I needed.

Seeing a lot of ATLA revisionism on Twitter now. Must be really difficult knowing your shitty ass sequels don't live up to the one hit wonder.

Avatar: Seven Havens is in the Top 5 today in the US.
Seven Havens isn't even in Paramount+'s Top 10. Avatar should be holding #1 for at least a week. Between this and the negative reception online, I think it's becoming increasingly clear that Avatar Studios is falling well short of expectations. The show fucking blows.

I genuinely want to like Seven Havens. I've always had my issues with The Legend of Korra, particularly its writing, storytelling, and characterization, and I've come to accept that the franchise will never recapture what made ATLA what it was. Even the Aang movie has issues.

Do I love the show right now? No. I have plenty of issues with it, both artistically and in terms of writing. But I do like that i can't predict it. I genuinely find that extremely interesting, and maybe that'll be enough to keep me invested.

I'm not going to drop it. Avatar is still Avatar at the end of the day, and if I stuck with Korra, I don't see why I'd stop here... 😭 And i also like Pavi, so that's a plus.

Certainly not in the Top 10 in the USA (the country of origin, mind you) 🤷‍♂️
