And when your wife buys a cosmetic after trying for 15 mins while you hold your kid & two bags, the price of that item increases at billing.. because … the backend got updated!?? The staff makes faces like they are doing you a favor and look at their watch to hurry you up?!

Story time: The year was 96/97, I think. Mamta Kulkarni was visiting Ludhiana for a film promotion. She was a big star back then. Asrani was in the same group. I tried to go back stage to get an autograph and he shouted at me so badly and shooed me away. Scarred me for life. 1/n

I’ve been asked multiple times by people back in India about how I’m doing in “the riots” in Paris. This long thread is for them.
I’m fine. Firstly, the main venue of the protests is not close to where I live. It’s >5 km away like I live near Ballygunge, protests are at Brigade.
This is the domain I work in these days. While this is sad, this will hopefully raise awareness about the importance. Someone told me a few years ago: Never let an incident go to waste.
A MAJOR HTTPS COMPROMISE
eMudhra TLS intermediate certificates were found to be compromisable because they didn't bother to use random numbers.
Web browsers rely on TLS certificates for HTTPS traffic. Your web browser needs the intermediate certificate to verify that, when you connect to a domain, it's real and not someone spoofing it along the TCP/IP route from your computer, Wi-Fi, ISP, to the web server.
Intermediaries are trusted parties who are given the private keys to issue TLS certificates for domains.
If the certificate key is compromised, anyone can issue a fake TLS certificate, tap the traffic, and listen to your Internet traffic because it is no longer end-to-end encrypted. A malicious party can read your passwords, messages, and all your online life. For example, eMudhra, with its intermediary keys, can give a "facebook.com" domain certificate for anyone, and after this, the party can wiretap your Facebook traffic.
eMudhra is India’s largest Certifying Authority, employs about 600-850 staff and generates roughly $70M in annual revenue. Its main lines are enterprise identity and cybersecurity platforms, digital signature and trust services, and related consulting.
Each certificate's private key was a random number between 1 and 256. Yes 256. Not 256 bits but two hundred fifty.
Modern web browsers follow revocation lists and automatically stop trusting anything signed by eMudhra. But web browsers are only one part of Internet-connected software. Operating systems, development libraries, Internet of Things devices and generally anything with an Internet connection are all affected, unless its auto-updating authority has issued an emergency fix.
Earn and burn friends… don’t hoard in hopes of higher value. Got 30k SQ miles from my recent premium eco trip to the US and had no plans of using them.
Redeemed them for Hop on Hop off and cruise tickets in Paris via Pelago. Great experience!
Monsters.. Reeljeevis
We were on an escalator & my 2yo cried coz he wanted to stand up on his own. Near the last stair, he suddenly fell down. I was able to pick him up just in time.
Can’t imagine what could have happened had I not acted in time
That’s how alert you have to be
Kuch bhi. Let them have their moment. They all seem happy. How did you interpret there is ‘longing’ in her eyes? 🤣🤣
The worst hair cuts I have had are at Trufitt & Hill. Their products just smell nice.. :) The staff are worse trained than UMT salons! it’s a scam!
lol these are 3rd or 4th copies selling near most tourist spots. But I can see how some enterprising guy might sell dupes saying they were stolen ‘just yesterday’. 🤣🤣🤣

What’s the disrespect? More interesting is that she feels safe & is able to do what she wants without feeling scared. I see this across Europe & US. People go running wherever they want- they have footpaths to run & clean air to breathe. She can’t do that in Holi festival in Ind
The most dystopian fitness video on the internet just dropped. 🚨💀
Paris is literally burning, protesters are shutting down the streets, and this woman is casually jogging past a burning barricade like it’s a treadmill session. She is literally running through thick black smoke because hitting her daily step count is a higher priority than whatever revolution is happening around her.
Pure, unfiltered main character syndrome. The absolute disrespect to the entire riot.
See video for situation on champs elysees on 15th October. The protests were still on in other parts of the city but there was no impact here. We travelled through the city on the way to airport from our hotel on 16th evening. Didn’t see even one incident. X sensationalizes.
What I witnessed so far today in Paris after the day of destruction that occurred yesterday:
The flagship stores are OK. Louis Vuitton on Champs Elysees, Dior 30 Montaigne, Hermes on George V and Faubourg St Honore, Cartier on Champs Elysees, Faubourg St Honore, rue de la Paix, Van Cleef & Arpels on place Vendôme. Chanel rue Cambon. All fine.
The ones that suffered a few tags and broken windows: Louis Vuitton on place Vendôme. Ralph Lauren on place de la Madeleine, Bucherer on rue Scribe/Blv des capucines (Rolex retailer), Bulgari on place Vendome. At LV place vendome, workers were already trying hard to take off the tags.
