Godzilla Minus Zero: B+ / A-
The best Ghidorah ever on screen. The new characters and cast fit right in. The script is clunky at times, and the ending is a tearjerker. It makes you wonder why Hollywood has lost its soul and can’t making good monster movies.
Desktop Dark Mode drawback: ALL apps look the same. No clear borders between windows. I end up misclicking all the time...
Whenever I see an app update in the App Store now, I immediately open the app to see if it’s at least compatible with iOS 27.1 (Duo), If it still doesn’t support basic Auto Layout, I instantly close it.
Switching between Fable, Opus, and Sonnet in one session really feels like driving a stick shift....
The ghost of SJ still haunts Apple during this year's Halloween. A stylus on a Duo, a touchscreen Macs, and "fold-gate".
Two quick thoughts on the iPhone Duo:
People still get genuinely hyped by new iPhone form factor. Seeing their faces light up when they fold and unfold.
Folding it shut doesn’t lock it. Having to put together a Shortcut routine is a bit silly. It should just be a native toggle in Settings.
The latest Dune: Part Three trailer really reminds me of Revenge of the Sith. In the best way possible, and no dis to RotS.
Hot takes on iPhone Duo that reviewers and influencers won't tell you:
1) It is wild to see iOS's support a dual-cell setup. The battery menu actually breaks out Battery 1 and Battery 2 separately, each with its own cycle count.
2) All my personal vibe-coded apps work fine on the actual device. Auto layout held up, and the 27.1 requirements work as expected. Anything else is just small aesthetic tweaks if I feel like bothering.
3) Switching back to Touch ID turned out to be a regression. It is not a dealbreaker on paper, but the power button edges are VERY sharp, and you'll end up pressing it constantly during a quick session and learn to hate it.
3) Beyond the button itself, the new form factor means your fingers constantly rub against the sharp corners on the hinge, the camera bump, and the USB-C port. Without a decent case, the phone is downright uncomfortable to hold.
I talked to a friend who has been at Apple for over a decade, and even he had trouble getting his hands on a Duo via employee purchase.
Clayface:
1) reminds me of the original Kamen Rider anti-hero
2) Gotham is a character in itself and always fun to see it! GCPD! Where’s Gordon?!
3) I so wish this is the Matt Reeves universe.
4) Way too much body horror for me but might work for some.
Online: We can’t “afford” health care! “K-shape economy”. Billionaires are taking all the gains. Ai is going take our job! We’re doomed!
Offline: people camp out overnight for a $2,000 mobile phone. ✌🏼
Google Meet looks like it has two overflow menus, but the one in the bottom left is actually the audio level indicator. Still bugs me.

Say what you will, Digger's ending chime and abrupt diagetic silence instantly made me think of EoE.
The new Tesla Roadster is the complete opposite of the Ferrari Luce. I think that's awesome. #notacarguy
