For any artist hoping to make a career in country music, getting advice from a seasoned professional was nearly priceless. And when that name was Vince Gill, it instantly became priceless. During his career on stage, the singer proved his talents as an entertainer and songwriter with hits like “Pocket Full of Gold,” “When I Call Your Name,” and “Look at Us.” If that wasn’t enough, he was also a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry. So when Gill decided to give some advice to the next generation of country singers, it was pure lunacy not to listen.
So what was the advice? First, Gill believed he was not a great person to give career tips. The reason – when Gill first traveled to Nashville decades ago, talent was at the forefront. But now, talent is accompanied by social media followings, streaming, and content creation.
And according to Gill, he never even sent a text. “You’re talking to a guy that has not really delved into the modern world of anything. Truth. I’ve never sent a text. That’s the truth and people don’t believe it, but I never have, and I’m not a poster. I’ve never posted a word online about anything. At the office, they do, you know, tell where I’m playing and things like that. But I don’t.”

Exceptional answer. One of the most articulate Democrats in 20 years. If the blob doesn't eat him, he will be formidable on foreign policy.
I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points.

Last night, the Museum celebrated the opening of its newest exhibition, "Roger Miller: Wit, Wisdom, and Wonder.” The exhibit explores the life and career of the late Country Music Hall of Fame member. The evening featured Grammy award-winning artist @DwightYoakam performing @TheRogerMiller’s songs “Dang Me” and "Invitation to the Blues," and Yoakam’s “It Only Hurts Me When I Cry," which he wrote with Miller. Open now until March 2028, the exhibit is included with Museum admission and supported by All Access Coach Leasing.

Hey @grok, concise no spin.
A second truck belonging to Urban Moving Systems (the dancing israelis) was stopped in Pennsylvania immediately after 9/11.
Its two Israeli occupants told police they had been traveling through the Midwest on September 11 and sweared they never been to New Jersey.
But investigators found a forgotten fuel receipt inside dated September 11.

Over 60 Muslim men raped Scarlett West from the age of 14.
None have been convicted. Her father stood as Restore Britain’s candidate for Greater Manchester mayor.
There was no national outrage, no wave of arrests, and no accountability.
Russell Brand, by contrast, is facing the full force of the justice system over an allegation involving touching a woman’s breast 15 years ago. If the evidence shows he is a predator, he should be punished.
That is how a functioning system works.
The same system has produced nothing for Scarlett. The men who systematically raped and trafficked her as a child remain free.
This is not an isolated failure. It is a pattern in which certain offenders are pursued relentlessly while others walk amongst us.
Where are the 60 Muslim men who raped a child?
Disgraceful.

“Don’t start a war with Iran. Israel is more than capable of defending themselves.”
That’s what a veteran who served two tours in Afghanistan was saying live on CNN.
Then they instantly “lost the connection” and cut to Mitt Romney headquarters.
They’ll platform every slimy politician who wants more war.
They just can’t handle the guy who actually fought one saying we don’t need another.

We’ve all heard the phrase “through the grapevine,” likely in reference to the phenomenon of hearing gossip or news from an indirect source. Well, in 1966, two Motown songwriters, Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong, wrote a song with that in mind, and it ended up becoming a hit for not one, but two artists.
For Marvin Gaye, “I Heard It Through The Grapevine” gave him his first No. 1 hit. However, this didn’t come easily at first. Before he found success with the song, it was R&B group Gladys Knight And The Pips that proved “Grapevine” could be a smash.
Gaye had recorded a version of the song before Gladys Knight And The Pips did. The song was even presented at a Motown meeting and voted on by executives as a single Gaye should release. The founder of the label, Berry Gordy, liked the song, but he wanted to focus on more of a romantic direction for Gaye.
“I personally liked ‘Grapevine’ better,” he shared in his autobiography. “But I felt the other record was more in the romantic vein of what Marvin needed.”
Gladys, who was a relatively new Motown act at the time, recorded a version of “I Heard It Through The Grapevine”, and it went to No. 2 in the US. About a year later, Gaye’s version of the song, which appeared on his In The Groove album, reached No. 1 and became the label’s best-selling single at the time.

Susie Wiles is and looks like a crazy person with that hairdo.
Meanwhile....Another Washington influence-peddling scandal has erupted.
Bret Worley, son-in-law of White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, is accused in a federal lawsuit of touting his political connections to secure government appointments and favors, according to @AFpost.
Worley reportedly has close ties to Morgan DeWitt-Snow, a deputy director in the White House Presidential Personnel Office, the very office responsible for overseeing political appointments.
The lawsuit alleges Worley bragged about using his relationship with Wiles to advance his business ventures and political ambitions. Meanwhile, his hemp companies have already been slapped with $125,000 in Colorado settlement penalties across 2025 and 2026 for deceptive practices — conduct Colorado AG Phil Weiser called “shameful.”
Washington's revolving door keeps spinning. The question is who's cashing in on the connections.
