The Flying Scotsman on an autumn day 🍂
Steam, copper leaves and the most famous locomotive in the world 🚂
She was built in Yorkshire, at Doncaster Works and entered service in February 1923 for just £7,944.
On 30 November 1934, she became the first steam locomotive officially recorded at 100mph.
She's since travelled around the world, was saved for the nation in 2004 and now lives at the National Railway Museum in York, 100 years after she was built.
Some sights never get old and a Yorkshire built legend in autumn colour is one of them.
Have you ever seen her in steam? 🏴 – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England
