Die AfD gehört abgeschafft. Punkt.

Policja zabiera mu urządzenia i pobiera DNA.

"Poland should officially apologise for standing in the way of Ukraine's independence." Ukraine declared its independence in January 1918—nearly a year before Poland. But the Ukrainian People's Republic (UNR) had some "delightful" neighbors. Had Russia, Poland, and Romania not stood in the way of Ukraine's independence, there would have been no need for Shukhevych, Bandera, Olzhych, Melnyk, the OUN, or the UPA to fight for that independence. Just the facts: 1. Ukraine declared its independence in January 1918—nearly a year before Poland did. However, the Ukrainian People's Republic (UNR) had some "charming" neighbours. Had Russia, Poland, and Romania not stood in the way of Ukraine’s independence, there would have been no need for Shukhevych, Bandera, Olzhych, Melnyk, the OUN, or the UPA to fight for that independence. 2. Volhynia belonged to the UNR. It was not situated in a way that made conflict inevitable. Had Poland not encroached upon Volhynia—where Poles made up only about 10% of the population in 1918—the "Volhynian Massacre" would never have occurred; the UNR respected the rights of national minorities. But Poland and Russia did everything in their power to destroy the UNR (see point 1). 3. For Ukraine, March 18, 1921, is the equivalent of August 23, 1939, for Poland: just as Stalin played a certain role for Poland in 1939, Piłsudski played a comparable role for Soviet-controlled Ukraine between 1918 and 1921. Poland’s betrayal at Riga cost Ukrainians nearly 7 million lives. Furthermore, the agreement reached between Poland and Russia in Riga effectively turned young Ukrainians into a mobilization reserve for the Kremlin. They did not choose this—but again, see point 1. 4. As a mobilisation reserve for the Kremlin, Ukrainians found themselves in the Soviet military, clearly lacking any agency of their own. However, from the summer of 1941, they fought there against Hitler on the side of the United Nations. 5. In September 1939, Poland was unable to withstand German aggression and capitulated within four weeks; the country’s entire leadership fled abroad, and the military laid down its arms (including in Volhynia). Ukraine remembers what this entails and the cost of losing independence (see points 1 and 3); consequently, in February 2022, Ukrainians did not lay down their arms, even though the circumstances were similar to those faced by Poland in September 1939. But I am getting a bit ahead of the story. 6. In the armed struggle on Polish territory against the forces of the Third Reich and its satellites, the number of soldiers and officers mobilized from Ukraine who perished was three times higher than that of soldiers and officers mobilized from Poland: approximately 700,000 Ukrainians compared to 240,000 Poles. 7. In total, the number of soldiers and officers mobilized from Ukraine who died fighting the Wehrmacht on Polish territory was sufficient to have formed 230 divisions or (approximately) 1,400 battalions. I emphasize: all these individuals gave their lives in the fight against Hitler, on the side of the United Nations. However, in Poland, the discussion focuses exclusively on a single division composed of Ukrainians ("Galicia") and two battalions ("Nachtigall" and "Roland"). Very well, let us consider this: just how badly must Poland have mistreated the Ukrainians for a segment of them to conclude that enlisting in Hitler’s service was the better option?! 8. Thus, in the armed struggle against Hitler on Polish territory, 240,000 Poles and 700,000 Ukrainians perished. At the same time, approximately 450,000 Poles fought within the Wehrmacht against the Allied forces—including on the territory of Ukraine (according to estimates by Ryszard Kaczmarek). The total number of all Ukrainian-manned collaborationist militarised units throughout the entire Second World War amounts to approximately 250,000. In other words, there were twice as many Poles in the Wehrmacht as there were Poles who died fighting against it. Overall, the number of Ukrainians who died in the armed struggle against the Wehrmacht was 12 times higher than that of Poles—exceeding 3 million. What happened, happened. The history of both nations includes both the struggle against Nazism and collaboration with it. The balance, however, differs. From a Ukrainian perspective, the Poles did not really fight against Nazism at all. The Ukrainian contribution to the Allied victory over Nazism was significantly greater. 9. If some in Poland take issue with the fact that Ukrainians remember things that Poland prefers to forget— This does not mean that those events did not take place; it simply means that many Poles have an inadequate perception of their own role in history. 10. Many historical problems—both then and now—could have been avoided had Poland not stood in the way of Ukraine’s independence between 1918 and 1921. And that brings us back to point 1! P.S. Over the course of last night, more than 20 ballistic missiles struck Kyiv. It is quite curious: the enemy is bombing Ukrainians, yet it is the Poles who have completely lost their composure. P.P.S. Forgive me, but I am tired of explaining that there are strong, unbreakable links between causes and effects. Poland ought to officially apologise for standing in the way of Ukraine’s independence. But do you actually believe that Karol Nawrocki is capable of such a thing? istpravda.com.ua/columns/202…
