Today is my 18th anniversary at @washingtonpost.
When my age was 18, I was enthralled by the drive and talent in this kaleidoscopic industry. I still am, and now I've got a mental map of names and faces to explain why.
Working for Jim Lehrer at @NewsHour was one of the great honors of my career. He and Robert MacNeil created an organization that valued trustworthy, thorough journalism, and his viewers loved him for it.
I’ve had Jim’s MacNeil/Lehrer Rules of Journalism posted in my office for years. They’re a vital ethical road map. Video: youtube.com/watch?v=why2tE15…
