It is strange and revealing to see "pro-Palestine activists" celebrating Kamala Harris' loss as some victory for Gaza, literally right as Ben Gvir, Smotrich, Netanyahu, settlers, the far right, anti-Palestinians & Islamophobes are ecstatically joyous by what Trump's election means for the Gaza war, the end of aspirations for Palestinian statehood, and the beginning of repression of "pro-Palestine" activism in the US. Maybe these "activists" aren't pro-Palestine after all, given that their “activism” helped elect the very guy who wants Netanyahu to “finish the job” and promised the Israeli Prime Minister whatever he needs to win the war in Gaza. Worse, perhaps they're too incompetent and unsophisticated to understand the implications and consequences of their speech and actions.

We have to accept that millions of Americans are misogynistic, climate change denying, racist fucking lunatics who don't give a single fuck about anything apart from the price of gas in their tanks.
Having done that we need to stop caring about America and build a better Europe.

Paul Stephenson, who led Bristol’s - and Britain’s - civil rights movement in the 1960s, has passed away.
If you didn’t know about him, or the campaigns he was involved in that changed the UK, here’s a thread - please share.

One can't be outraged by the massive death & destruction in the Gaza Strip only to cast a "protest" vote for someone like Jill Stein, who has regularly supported despots and killers of other Arab and Muslim peoples such as Syria's al-Assad and Russia's Putin. Furthermore, this "candidate" has failed in virtually every political endeavor she's ever touched, turning her into a charlatan opportunist who jumps from one issue to another in desperate pursuit of relevance. Diverting votes away in key states such as Michigan is not only reckless and unhelpful; if Harris wins the state anyway, this will dismiss the significance of Arab & Muslim votes and weaken their political leverage since these communities will be seen as inconsequential for winning elections.

Feudalism in 21st Century Britain.
Royal landlord Prince William said he wanted to end homelessness.
But he’s banking a fortune renting mouldy, hard to heat houses that don't even meet basic standards. mirror.co.uk/news/royals/sca…

Ask yourself: what would happen if Kamala Harris did this?
Yes. You saw right. This is Trump on stage at a rally, pretending to perform a sex-act on a microphone.
This is not normal. Trump is disgusting, unhinged and unfit to represent the United States. Vote him out.

In Iran, a woman who was accosted by the “morality police” for not wearing hijab removes her clothing & roams the streets in defiance. She has since been arrested by IRGC forces and forcibly disappeared. This is the brave face of true resistance.

I’ve been all over the country in the last month.
And I get asked the same question, over and over again:
“I disagree with Kamala’s position on the war in Gaza. How can I vote for her?”
Here is my answer:
Great research here, “Bristol South has always been Labour”. Well apart from the 1930s when it had a Tory MP & the 1920s when it had a Liberal one, I suppose..

Devastating news. The Islamic Republic has executed Jamshid Sharmahd. This murderous regime must be held to account. My heart bleeds for his children @GazelleSharmahd & @ShayanSya who campaigned tirelessly to save him, as well as his beloved wife.
Some deeply upsetting news: #Iran regime media is reporting that Jamshid Sharmahd, a German citizen who has lived in the U.S. for years, has been executed by the Islamic Republic. This sets a chilling precedent that the Islamic Republic can kidnap a Western national and then murder them. Shades of Tehran's execution of Habib Chaab. There better be a decisive response from Berlin and Washington here.
Deepest condolences to my friends @GazelleSharmahd and @ShayanSya. An absolute tragedy and a crime.

William can singlehandedly make a significant impact on homelessness by accepting a fixed income in return for giving up his vast Duchy of Cornwall estate.
Instead of tinkering at the edges, he’d become a consequential royal.
Watch ‘Prince William: We Can End Homelessness’ this coming Wednesday and Thursday, on @ITV and @ITVX.
The documentary follows the first year of @HomewardsUK – a five-year programme founded by The Prince and The Royal Foundation which aims to demonstrate that it is possible to end homelessness – making it rare, brief and unrepeated.
