ChatGPT help me create a client letter today. The font choice was preventing me from printing to PDF. It took nine efforts to finally clear out Aptos fully from that document….. I don’t know what I would do if I was still billing by the hour. Hit the client account with “couldn’t figure out how to get your ChatGPT written letter into a usable format for 45 minutes”

I set up Trump Accounts for my daughters yesterday. It was surprisingly easy to do. The website is pretty slick. I was honestly impressed. Was expecting typical federal government ineptitude. Was not interested in Trump Accounts at all. This is for my 12 year-old Greta. Ideally, she’ll have some money in this account when she turns 18 and we will convert to a Roth Ira. May need to spread out the conversion over a few years. Tax tip: upon conversion to a Roth, for a teenager, always say no to any income tax withholding to come right out of the IRA. It’s treated as an early distribution subject to penalty.

Strike quality is so underrated. People will work on things that move the needle much less and almost ignore it. And improving your strike quality will self-organize other improvements that matter - like face to path. In The Strike Plan, I go through all the drills you need to see quick improvements, while sowing the seeds for long-term gains too. Learn more here - adamyounggolf.com/the-strike…

I knew she would be back on the court. That was an amazing comeback on Sunday for the squad.

You do the tax return in Axcess and then draft the financial statements?

Yes agreed, I’m a heavy AI user as a tax pro and my ears perk up when I see comments on Twitter that tax accountants will be eliminated. I still have at least 10 conversations a day with Claude or ChatGPT where it says “ I was wrong about that… you were right to push back”…

4 small accounting firms. Real AI workflows: One Stop CPA paired Blue J tax research with ChatGPT Enterprise to turn complex multi-state M&A questions into memos in 2 hours instead of days. Agate CPA used Lovable and Claude to build custom website intake forms, boosting conversions by 25% for almost zero cost. Public Trust CPA built a Power Automate + ChatGPT workflow to route vendor invoices straight into QuickBooks with signed docs attached. High Rock Accounting built its own client satisfaction tracker in 5 hours using Claude Code, replacing a paid software tool entirely. These firms picked one annoying, repetitive task and automated it: youtube.com/live/G2xfT5RT9i0…

Probably for 90% of taxpayers sure…. If you haven’t worked in the high net worth space as a tax pro, then you may not be aware that a lot of the documents are only correct if the client and CPA take steps to make them correct. New entities are constantly being created. Loan proceeds need to be traced. Expenses need to be allocated sometimes between multiple activities …It’s not just collecting W2s and 1099s and K1s others give you. Many times you are the one who has to issue these forms based on knowledge of the situation. Knowing what the client does not understand.

The data requires filtering and judgment in many cases. Take a landlord with a dozen properties. The data is often messy and not adequate alone. Clients use their personal accounts for expenses that they don’t know are business related.

People have experiences after commenting that shift their relationship with social media toward quiet lurking…years ago lots of people would comment but if they felt attacked they would usually stop

Don’t underestimate the amount of lurkers who used to post but have been trained to stay quiet

Clients rarely look at the California return past page 2. Even staff accountants have this habit. I learned to embrace looking at Sched CA on a 540 bc I persuaded myself it was important, but my clients won’t look at it even if I force their eyes open

Everyone teaching creators about taxes promoting deducting all the clothing they wear, and telling trainers to deduct all of their gym clothes and supplements and gym memberships….. seems like all the relevant court cases pre-date the era of the IG influencer, so these Tax “coaches” claim those cases to be irrelevant in 2026.

So if I’m a model and I sell videos of myself wearing 100 different types of underwear, would you agree that the clothing would be deductible, or would you say I could wear the underwear in my personal life so it’s not deductible? @TaxLeverage @KarltonDennis

This last 10/15 was definitely my worst…. I did schedule Tax prep, but the offshore team I was relying on overpromised what they could do and I had to end up taking on a ton of it myself in the last two weeks.

Does their clothing qualify to be deducted under 162A? Or is it personal in nature? Or does it depend on whether they could wear it in public?
