I need a Morikawa-Young reunion for Foursomes this week.
One of my favorite trends early in Morikawa’s Cup career was to pair him with a bomber. In his first two Cups, he went 3-1 in Foursomes while teamed with Dustin Johnson and Cameron Young.
It answered the hypothetical question of what Morikawa, one of the game’s best iron players, would look like with another 30 yards off the tee. And the answer was lethal.
But the U.S. has veered from that strategy in the last 3 Cups. Morikawa is 1-4 in Foursomes while being paired with Rickie Fowler, Sahith Theegala, Sam Burns and Harris English in the alternate-shot format.
We are proud to support our Uganda Golf Professional players that are participating at @RwandaOpen2026 by @RwandaGolf in @golf_kigali 24th-27th September 2026. #rwandaopen2026
