1879 alliance between Germany and Austro-Hungary
1882 Triple Alliance between Germany, Austria and Italy
1894 Franco-Russian alliance
1904 Entente Cordiale between Great Britain and France
1907 Anglo-Russian Entente.
1908: Young Turks have gained control of Ottoman Empire and seek to restore territory and revive the empire’s sagging fortunes. When Vienna announced the annexation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 5, 1908, it triggered a major European crisis and an uproar in Serbia. So, let’s examine the situation in-depth.
By 1908, the framework for the WWI alliances is in place. Austria has been militarily occupying Bosnia since 1878 and the Treaty of Berlin. The occupation part of the statute in the treaty was due to expire in 1908. But they are worried about Ottoman claims and Serbia ambitions, so they decide to annex Bosnia (40% Serbs). To them is an opportunity to secure their position in the Balkans. To Vienna this would allow them to integrate the province into the empire and to show Serbia the permanence of the empire in the Balkans and, in theory, remove an area of potential agitation.

Spanish cybersecurity authorities have detected jihadist messages encouraging terrorist attacks against police officers and demonstrators in France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
The messages, published on a website linked to supporters of the Islamic State (ISIS), urge extremists to exploit mass demonstrations, street clashes and civil unrest to carry out attacks.
