We were at Zcon7, the annual Zcash $ZEC conference, last week.
From proposed consensus upgrades to network security, governance, and private payments, discussions focused on strengthening Zcash’s foundations and expanding its real-world utility.
Our three takeaways from Zcon7:
1. AI is strengthening the case for financial privacy.
2. The Zcash community pairs a drive to innovate with deep conviction around privacy and self-sovereignty.
3. Aligning holders, miners, and developers on governance and funding remains critical to execution.

I particularly enjoyed the roundtable discussions on the development fund, governance, and what the next decade could look like for Zcash.
What stood out to me most was the community’s down-to-earth, pragmatic, and builder-driven spirit. The focus on real challenges and actionable solutions makes me genuinely optimistic about Zcash’s future.
Privacy matters more than ever in the age of AI, and I believe the vision of Zcash as private Bitcoin is becoming increasingly relevant.

Digital assets paved the way for markets that never close.
Most traditional assets continue to trade only between the opening and closing bells. But that is changing.
While still pending regulatory approvals, a new venture from @ICE_Markets and @tradexyz seeks to expand the 24/7 model to stock and commodities contracts using Hyperliquid ($HYPE).
This is a concrete example of how the blockchain is reshaping market access.
trade[XYZ] and ICE, owner of the New York Stock Exchange, are joining forces to bring 24/7 perpetual futures on Hyperliquid to the United States.
In just over a year, our markets on Hyperliquid have surpassed $650 billion in volume. They provide continuous price discovery for stocks, indices, and commodities, and have become trusted reference points for retail and institutions alike when traditional markets are closed. Much of the world trades them. Until now, Americans could only watch.
We intend to change that. Subject to CFTC approval, trade[XYZ] and ICE plan to establish a new, dedicated U.S. market, with novel exchange and clearing infrastructure built on Hyperliquid. Planned contracts span equities, indices, commodities, FX, and crypto, with access through participating brokers and platforms. We’ll share more on products, eligibility, and timing as approvals progress.
ICE brings more than 25 years of experience operating regulated markets, clearing, and managing risk. trade[XYZ] brings the product development, market design, and technology behind the most liquid and robust markets on Hyperliquid.
Innovation and the protections of U.S. regulation shouldn’t be a trade-off. Together, we plan to prove it.
ICE is making a strategic investment in trade[XYZ] and joins us in building towards the future of Hyperliquid. A small group of market luminaries is joining as well, beginning with Stan Druckenmiller. For more than four decades, few investors have anticipated the great turns in markets as often as Stan. We’re proud to have him with us for the next one.
We’re building the U.S. market in parallel with our existing HIP-3 markets, which we’ll continue to expand and innovate on. We expect both to flourish. They each have a long road map ahead, from new asset classes to new ways to trade them.

− Pioneered the first widespread use of zk-SNARKs
− 25 second block times with the upcoming upgrade
− Gained institutional interest, The Zcash ETF $ZCSH crossed $1B AUM within a month of launch

Making digital assets easier to manage makes them more accessible. We're lowering the barriers to in-kind transfers across select @Grayscale products to bring the benefits of ETPs to more eligible investors.
Through an in-kind transfer, investors can convert digital assets they already own into shares of a Grayscale ETP without needing to sell into cash.
As digital assets become a larger part of investors' financial lives, we're committed to finding new and innovative ways to help them manage those holdings within their broader portfolios.
