GO train announcement as we enter Union: "Do not cross the tracks, it's dangerous and illegal. (pause) It is super fun though. But don't do it. But if you do, I get it, cause it's awesome. But please...don't. (pause) But it is fun."

The implication of their old slogan was that peanuts were the satisfying part of the equation. It should have been: "Packed with satisfaction, Snickers is really peanuts."
When you pay your hydro bill, do you also whisper, "Hail hydro" at your computer like I do?
Intuitively we know this is true: ow.ly/lj2Y50Ialmu. On the show "Quantum Leap" it always took a few seconds before the glowing nimbus of light coalesced into Dr. Sam Beckett, and then a bit more time before he said, "Oh boy."

An argument for moral ambiguity (aka some sense of realism) in political narratives: ow.ly/8iJx50Hqw4L. I think the problem is that a simple "good v. evil" narrative is more compelling to certain audiences...and easier to spew from a talking head.

A "gift" for y'all -- no one asked for it, no one wanted it, and yet here 'tis. A pandemic project of very reasonable proportions. I'll say this: I had fun making it! youtu.be/8wgRqY27n-4
Access to information doesn't seem like a bad thing, but overestimating your own memory/intelligence leads to entrenched viewpoints: ow.ly/ynlg50H9p9o
They are always a decade away from viable fusion reactors *but*...the number of private firms involved in fusion technology does speak to the fact that they're getting closer: ow.ly/HRiA50GW8yq ...they're probably, like, a decade away.
