YouTube premium has a hard 10 device limit for downloading videos for offline view.
You can not reset this device limit yourself by removing older devices.
So tech reviewers like me hit this limit fast. But even non reviewers should hit it within five years. It’s absurd
Testing lots of new tech on the road this week. I’m still working on AI use cases, but let’s see how @Lenovo YOGA Pro 9n (@NVIDIARTXSpark) works as a regular laptop on the go. Pics and post by @apple iPhone Duo. Should have @starlink on this @united connecting flight!
Started testing @amazon Bee Frontier. Useful little AI gadget; I really wish there was a fabric band option.
.@Apple iPhone Duo review unit in house. Looking forward to living in Duo for a while.
I spent the morning with @Snap Inc. getting a full demo of SPECS AR glasses. Yes, it’s $2200 and bulky, and the virtual keyboard is extremely hit or miss (just use voice, a connected phone, or a Bluetooth keyboard. But the amount of capability squeezed into these oversized frames — with no tethered compute/battery puck— is astonishing. SPECs have two @Snapdragon processors in the glasses themselves. If you want cellular connectivity, that is available off the phone — in an optional 5G case. @Verizon will be the first to offer it in the US.
Playing virtual dominos and ping pong and getting interactive instruction in golf putts and art was fun, but the enterprise use cases are endless if Snap can capitalize. I met a photographer who vibe-coded an app for testing out potential spaces for modeling shoots without lugging in gear or setting up stand-ins. Do things like that enough times and the price point isn’t an issue.
.@Amazon sent me this lovely care package including its new premium Kindles, new Bee AI wristband, and (not new) 11” Echo Show that costs just $200 and connects to a huge ecosystem of cameras, lights, HVAC, and more. (They may be trolling Apple a bit with that last one.)
OK, who is spreading the false rumor that Samsung might not use Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 on the Galaxy S27 line because of "overheating?" You know we can see the half dozen Chinese phones that are already on the market with no widespread reports of problems, right?
Embargo has lifted on @NVIDIARTXSpark systems. I have review units in from @hp, @lenovo, @microsoft but I am nowhere near done testing them. Hardware highlights include HP's thermals and GaN charger, Lenovo's touchpad-as-drawing-slate, and Microsoft's magnetic USB-C cable/port.
Anyone can build a fast two seat electric car, so Tesla is turning the Roadster into a Hollywood stunt car. Will the production model be able to do these INSANE tricks? Of course not, the liability insurance would cost more than whatever Tesla charges for this thing.
But does that make it desirable for regular road use (or collectors)? Uh, yeah. Assuming they actually build and sell them.
Because Techtober won't stop Techtobering, @XREAL_Global has announced the XREAL 1 Pro+. The + means the $599 display glasses are now 1200 nits (way up from 700) and 120Hz refresh rate (better for gaming and 3D at 60 fps), and comfier nose pad. Don't have a pair yet. Yet.
.@amazon is expanding its push into personal AI devices; I’m looking forward to testing these.
Today we’re launching two new personal AI products from Bee: Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse.
Two new ways to turn your conversations into useful insights and reminders, both built on Bee Private Compute so only you can access your data, no one else.
Plus, we’re introducing new connections with Alexa+ and Amazon.com to make it easier to remember, find, and purchase what you want.
Pumped for customers to see what these can do. Big props to the team behind the launch.

Apple commissioned a full-size version of the invitation embroidery as wall art on display at its NYC event yesterday. Absolutely real, no AI.
Checking out new toys from @apple this morning. The HomeView is smaller than it looks in photos but the design is gorgeous. $299. It’s kind of a cross between an Apple Watch, an iPad mini, and a HomePod. Should appeal to Apple Ecosystem homes. Full analysis coming.
Here's something I'm testing NOT under embargo: the @LenovoLegion Pro 7 with Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, 32GB, NVIDIA RTX5080, 400W power supply, and a 16" 240Hz OLED. Nobody is going to confuse this with a thin & light, but plug it in and it performs like a desktop.

The reason to buy a Kindle vs a tablet has been the e-ink display and distraction-free reading. The new @amazon Alexa tablets are full Android -- not FireOS anymore -- but included a focused Kindle mode. And the Pro tablet offers a really effective matte display option, too.
The Kindle experience on the new Amazon Alexa Tablets is rad. The 3:2 ratio is perfectly balanced to get more of the page on screen, and when you open a book, magic happens.
The whole display changes. Notifications turn off automatically. Battery optimization kicks in for up to 20 hours of reading. And an adaptive display and the blue light filter activate. The device transforms into a distraction-free reading sanctuary.
This is the best reading experience we’ve ever invented for a tablet.
